Obviously, the best time to go fishing is anytime you can get out on the water. But we all know that certain conditions tend to be more productive for lure fishos than others. And a common rule of thumb in fishing circles is: "If there's no run, there's no fun". Now, it's always a bit dodgy to take a single idea like this and apply it to all forms of fishing and all species of fish. So today we're exploring whether the "no run = no fun" rule fits every situation, and if so, how and why. After all, the more we understand about how fish respond to their environment the better we'll become at predicting their movements and behviours.
