Usually when we talk fishing in Tasmania we're thinking about trout, bream or maybe southern bluefin tuna. Not a lot gets said about the amzing snapper fishing available to those who live on the north coast of Tasmania (or even those in southern Tas, increasingly). Today's guest is Tasmanian sponsored angler Jack Gillespie, a humble but accomplished angler who has made a habit of taking some pretty decent snapper on light gear and soft plastic lures. With a little coaxing, Jack was willing to share some tips on a fishery that the locals like to keep pretty secret..... shallow water snapper! __________________ Looking for extra tips, hints and advice that will improve your success not just on Tassie snapper, but on any fish you care to put lures in front of?
