Every two weeks we will come together having read a handful of chapters and discuss the stories of Middle-Earth, from the Hobbit to the Lord of the Rings and further on to the Silmarillion. Stop a moment and enjoy some good company and better books. We're back! This week in the Silmarillion, we learn about Ungoliant! She's big and nasty and eats light. But also some other stuff happens. Unrest in Valinor, the death of the Trees, and a swarm of darkness that covers the land...the Dark Lord is come at last, and never again will Melkor be fair or seductive. Probably. We definitely know he doesn't change his form from this one.
