Joe Allen's going to be up in a minute. Eric Metaxas, so we're pretty packed this afternoon. Captain Finnell, I want to talk about the main thing and how I think our attention is being diverted and we're taking our eye off the ball. That is all important. The Iranians came back to me and said, hey, we ain't talking about anything about peace. However, they did admit we are talking about with Oman and the United States and Saudi Arabia, I guess others, about the Strait of Hormuz.

You and I were in agreement with the MOU, one of the big mistakes in the MOU. In fact, I think the biggest mistake, they actually had a section that's dealing with Hormuz and they talked about Iran and Oman working out. They would work out with us some mechanism, some discussion. And that, I think, led the Iranians to think, hey, the Americans are soft on this or they're open to discussion about this. Well, there should not be any even discussion about it. Your thoughts, sir?

Yeah, Steve, this idea that we would negotiate away what we've stood for for 250 years, which is freedom, is just unacceptable. And so I got it that diplomats try to come up with new avenues of negotiation. discussion points, but we should be firm on the idea that we're not going to negotiate away freedom of navigation for all nations, not just America, but it's in our interest to make sure that the navigation choke point of the Strait of Hormuz stays open. Because there's spillover effects. We're seeing what happened in Spain. What would happen if the Strait of Gibraltar was shut down? What would happen if the Taiwan Strait was shut down, where 50% of all international container ships pass through each year?

But here's the thing. I agree. Straits of Malacca, South China Sea, we're going to talk about that in Taiwan. That's central to America's defense because in hemispheric defense – The key is the Central Pacific as our strategic pivot, not the heartland of Asia, not Mackinder's theory, and also the Three Island Chain. This is why it's important, and we've tried to get this audience up to speed. However, Hormuz, the Red Sea entrance to Suez and Gibraltar, That would appear to most people would say, hey, where's Europe on this? You know, where's the Royal Navy? Where's the French Navy? Where's the Italian Navy? Where's the Spanish Navy? We need a little something for the effort here. They're not pitching in to pay for this.
