Episode 80 (part one) - A Brothers Tale: The journey is more important than the destination

Born in Pakistan but spending most of their lives in Christchurch our guests this week share an in depth story on the journey that has gotten them to where they are today.  In this story, which is broken up into two parts, our guests Samad and Uzair talk about going back to live and learn in Pakistan how this became a defining moment for them both. We delve into being diagnosed with cancer and feeling helpless. We speak about mental health, well being and trying not to lose yourself when going to university, how both Uzair and Samad had to navigate this. Uzair talks to us about how sport, specifically Olympic lifting is now a big part of his life, while Samad explores the importance of being a good human through understanding your faith. This episode is an emotional conversation that reminds us all about the power of reflection
