Chapter 1: What are the recent developments involving Clinton, Trump, and Epstein?

1.685 - 29.143 Beau

Well, howdy there, Internet people. It's Belle again. So today, we're going to talk about Clinton, Epstein, and Trump. Bill and Hillary Clinton have said they will not comply with a subpoena demanding congressional testimony. And Republicans are getting reminded that while Trump may be good at steering news coverage, the Clintons are on a whole other level.

So, this whole thing started back in August, when the Republican-led committee decided it was going to talk to the Clintons. Yes, this was still back when the Republican Party was trying to capitalize on it, and before the Trump marching orders had really become apparent. The subpoena was issued before the discharge petition and the vote.

Bill Clinton was supposed to testify by Tuesday, and Hillary by Wednesday. Instead, their attorneys sent a letter saying the subpoenas were, quote, It went on, quote, It is clear the subpoenas themselves and any subsequent attempt to enforce them are nothing more than a ploy to attempt to embarrass political rivals, as President Trump has directed.

Republicans are talking about holding Clinton in contempt and saying they'll move on it next week. It's important to remember a couple of things about Bill Clinton.

This includes, without limitation, any records that may exist and are subject to disclosure under the Act, including grand jury transcripts, interview notes, photographs, and findings by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, as referenced under oath to Congress by President Trump's first-term Attorney General. It then went on to hint at a cover-up. Quote,

However, what the Department of Justice has released so far and the manner in which it did so makes one thing clear. Someone or something is being protected. We do not know whom, what, or why, but we do know this. We need no such protection. It seems clear that they don't care what gets released. Here's another quote that might help remind people who Clinton is. Quote,

It depends on what the meaning of the word is is. If the, if he. If is means is and never has been, that is not, that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement.

Chapter 3: What implications do the subpoenas have for Trump and the Republican Party?

215.478 - 240.864 Beau

You're talking about a guy who back in the 90s had the country debating the meaning of the word is. So, let's just put some pieces together real quick. Clinton wants everything released. According to Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump does not. Trump seems to be actively trying to end coverage of the Epstein files and of the fact that they still aren't released.

And with a simple letter, Clinton has Republicans talking about contempt over him not showing. You see how this plays out when DOJ hasn't complied with the law requiring the release of the documents, right? Clinton just put the Epstein files back on the front page. Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
