You are listening to the Becoming the Wealthy You podcast with Jermaine Foley.
If you're a woman who makes good money in your career or business, but you're not building wealth like you want to, then you're in the right place. In this podcast, you'll learn how to stop overspending, break free from the cycle of debt, save lots of cash, and become the wealthy woman you were born to be. Let's dive in. Well, hello, everyone. Welcome back to the podcast. Okay, so before we jump into today's episode, I want to set the stage for you around what you're about to hear. So in this week's episode, this is a collaboration conversation that I had with Allison Baggerly from the Inspired Budget Podcast. We recorded this episode specifically for right now, mid-January. because this is the point where a lot of people quietly start falling off from their financial goals.
There's actually a name for it, and I've mentioned it on the podcast before. It's called Quitter's Day, and it's usually around the second or third weekend in January. This is when motivation starts to fade because life has gotten back into the groove of things and we suddenly start to lose our motivation. Our big intentions start to feel hard. Things might have not gone as planned so far. And this is where we just start to fall off track. So in this episode, Allison and I took all of that to heart. And with that, we're sharing three tips. strategic tips to help you to keep going. She's gonna share three and I'm going to share three. Now, this will help you if you're still going strong or if you started to veer off track some, a lot or a little, it doesn't matter.
I believe that if you listen to this episode and take what we say to heart, you will start to get back on track. Remember, this isn't about beating yourself up. This isn't about starting over. This isn't about any of that. It's just about resetting and getting back into momentum. So what you're gonna hear is, is a mix of different types of strategies. You're gonna get some mindset shifts and some very practical strategies you can use immediately. In fact, Allison's first tip alone has the potential to save you about $1,000 in just 30 minutes. It's one of those simple things that people often overlook, but it can make a real big difference and help you get back into the swing of things and give you some real momentum when it comes to your cashflow.
Not only that, but my final tip is a huge game changer if you ever felt overwhelmed by trying to fix everything about your finances at once. What I'm going to do is walk you through how to focus on the one key area that's holding you back. And how identifying that can change everything. Sometimes it's one area of your money that you just need to focus on. And once you focus on that area, all the other areas start to fall in line. And what I shared even helped Allison get lots of clarity on where she wants to focus this year. So this conversation, you'll hear it at the beginning. We're playing it on my podcast and she's playing it on hers. And so we want to make sure that whoever listens, you have support and resources beyond just this one conversation.
So we're both including some free resources for you in the show notes. You can go to the show notes and grab both of them. I'm giving you all my free training, which is all about building wealth without going on a strict budget. And Allison's free resource is a debt payoff tracker that It's very cool. It gives you the visuals that you need to really see the debt going down. Both are there for you. I want you to get both of them.
Why do people fall off financial goals around Quitter’s Day in January?
Remember, this is for you if you're still going strong with your goals. I think my free class and her debt tracker can really help maintain that momentum. It's also for you if you've started to slip a little bit. And it's even for you if you've completely thrown away your goals already, which a lot of people do. have done. So if that's you, do not beat yourself up. This is your moment to reset. All right, let's get into the episode.
Jermaine, I'm so excited because this is not our typical podcast interview.
