The Wampanoag and the First Thanksgiving

The Wampanoag were the Native American people who lived along the coast of what is now Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In 1620, the Pilgrims arrived from England and built a colony called Plymouth. The Wampanoag helped them survive by teaching them how to grow corn, catch fish, and live through the harsh winters.
