Over a decade ago founders Carolyn Plater and Stephanie Kersta began sowing the seeds of what would eventually grow into Hoame - a modern and preventative approach to wellbeing. A space where taking care of yourself is encouraged and celebrated! Both founders studied psychology in university and went on to postgraduate training in mental health and addictions. Over the years Carolyn and Stephanie became increasingly concerned by the growing mental health crisis plaguing society. They also realized that much of what they were seeing clinically was a direct result of today’s modern stress-filled lifestyle. Their desire to combat this epidemic led them to the study of mindfulness and meditation. They obtained the relevant certifications and started weaving these powerful philosophies and teachings into their personal and professional lives.
