Prior to the Brewers, he was the pitching coach at the collegiate level for over a decade with positions at Towson, Hofstra, Florida SW State College, University of Tampa and East Georgia State College.A former 22nd round pick by the Mariners out of Georgia Southern, he pitched in the Mariners organization from 2008-11, including pitching for the high-A team High Desert Mavericks. He also played three years in independent ball, including in the North American Independent League and the Frontier League.Blake played his college ball at Georgia Southern, graduating in 2012.
