Auckland Airport's Chief Executive is feeling optimistic heading into 2027. Its latest financial results saw net profits drop 20%, however revenue is up 3%, and passenger numbers are up about 1.6% on the previous year. Carrie Hurihanganui told Mike Hosking the airport will be back to over 95% recovery in the summer peak – tantalisingly close to a full recovery. She says they're expecting strong growth, with six million seats in and out over the peak – up 4% on last year. Hurihanganui says destination New Zealand is still appealing to airlines.
