At the height of her battle with an eating disorder, Millie Thomas was told there was no hope left. Her treatment team stopped ongoing treatment and advised her to start preparing for the end of her life. Millie is now four years recovered and helping others to overcome their own eating disorder battles, as both a recovery coach and advocate. She has worked tirelessly with End ED towards the creation of Australia’s very first residential inpatient facility, to be located on the Sunshine Coast. In this episode, Millie and I chat all about what it means to be a fully recovered coach, her journey out of her disorder and what we both find the most infuriating about outdated treatment approaches. Have a listen anywhere you get your podcasts (Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud we’re everywhere!). You can’t miss out on meeting this incredible woman - someone I am proud to know.
