Early on in my business, I was asked this of my future plans: "Are you willing to do whatever it takes?" It was insinuated that I should be answering in the affirmative. In my heart, I knew my answer: a hard no. At first I wondered if this would be a problem. Then, I was terrified. The fear of a successful business meaning I was going to have to hustle, hurry and possibly compromise things I cared about most stopped me in my tracks. Then one day, I considered if having to do "whatever it takes" might be a lie. And I decided to do business differently as a mom.
