Yes, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to another episode of Bizarre. And this week we're doing something new. I'm joined by Adam Rosenbach. Thanks for having me back. Once again, my partner in crime. And I thought... I want to launch a new one. So we've done Aristocracy Bazaar. We've done Crime Bazaar. We've done Sports Bazaar, of course, kicking it all off. We've done Animal Bazaar. Yep. And we'll be rotating through all of those. But I saw a couple of stories this week and it made me think of, if you're thinking of bizarre things, what better than Workplace Bazaar? Oh, love it. because the stuff that goes on in the workplace and everyone can relate because we all have workplaces except for a lucky few of us.
Yes. But the stuff that people get up to at work. Okay, I love this. I've done everything from working in a butcher's, supermarket. Men's suit store.
I worked at Triple M once as a panel operator.

What is Workplace Bazaar and why are Titus & Adam launching it now?
Yeah. And if you've never been behind the scenes of a radio station, they're very competitive with the stations they're up against, particularly when they've got matching demographics. So when I was working at Triple M, which is a very male-oriented station, and Gold FM had relaunched. So Gold is like the Golden Oldies sort of music station. Yeah, yeah. And they had a relaunch and were taking on Triple M. And I come into work one day. And the program director and the music director were in full camo gear. And I was like, what's up with you two? And they go, mate, we're at war with Gold FM. Yeah. So that's been my life behind the scenes. I haven't worked a real proper job, you know, like in an office.
Yeah.
For a long time. At school did you have a job? I was a paper boy for a bit. Yeah, there you go. Oh, mate, that was the worst. I remember when I first started being a paper boy, I think it was, I worked it out, it was I think $12 a week or something. It was like $1.50 a day or something. Yeah. It was horrific. You have to go back for the Saturday papers. Yeah. It wasn't good, getting chased by dogs.
My first job was working in a meat room in Coles. Oh, like rocking or you're panning into the… Yeah, it was all that. And I think now they've outsourced and closed most of these, you know, they'd ship in all the meat fully cut up.
Well, my dad was a butcher and he's got a permanently hooked finger from where he cut through a tendon.
They all were missing either a finger or like it was… Yeah, absolutely. But this is when there was like… four butchers that worked there and they'd cut all the meat there and do all of that, right? And I'm sure they've outsourced all of this now but at the time and then they had two women working who would wrap the meat and all that and I'd clean up, which is a horrible job, or I'd do the wrapping and stuff like that. But they had this store, they had multiple store managers when I was there but one time they had this store manager and he was a real rough dude, like he was a real bully type manager. He'd bully every department but he'd walk into the butchers And suddenly you'd be staring at these four gruff blokes who were all ripping blokes actually but they all had huge knives and knew how to use them.
And you'd see this mark change and you'd just suddenly be like, hi, guys.
