You know, that's going to happen. I mean, the offense was a complete utter no-show. The first time I think this year, now I admit I haven't been at the park every game, but I've been to enough of them.
And I don't know if I've heard Vladdy booed as much as he was in that last at-bat. And I definitely haven't heard anybody yell at him what I heard somebody yell at him below the press box. after that last, but I was just, it was, it was a tough watch and, um,
I think to your point, you've got to stay away from being a tough watch. I think that's kind of where they're at. With the payroll that they have, it's one thing for your best players not to be your best players, for your best players to be going through it, for your best players not to be able to figure it out. And then on top of it now, optically, you're starting to be a tough watch. Just by the way you're throwing the ball around, even the pickoff play. I mean, Dylan Cease is basically nodding his head to the runner that he's going to try and pick him off. It's just a weird thing. Ernie not making that play at second base on the ground ball at the infield end. Andres getting flat-footed on a ground ball.
He catches 15 times out of 10. Like, just little things like that optically when you're losing and your team's not very good and your best player's not being your best player. You got to clean all of those things up. There's a way you can look when you lose, Jeff. And that stuff has to be cleaned up. So, hopefully, going forward, they can play a little bit better. They make the plays they're supposed to make. Even when they're getting beat. You know, right now, they're just not a good team. No. You know what happens to every team, right? Where you just go through things. You just can't figure it out. You know, whatever you're doing is not working off the field, translating on the field. But, boy, you can go out there and do it the right way.
You know, it is basically catch and throw.
