So as I understand it, and I think even Uri Perez alluded to it in his postgame comments yesterday, there was clear communication. This is his third start back from the injury list, by the way. So there was clear communication that 90 pitches was going to be it for him. He ends up throwing 92.
And guys, I would have to have been, I would have loved to have given some meal money to be in the dugout in the sixth and seventh inning and to hear what the conversations, if there were any at all, because we have the whole superstitious aspect of it. You know, the guy's got a perfect game going. You stay away from him. But I would love to have had conversations with Clay McCall at that point because to me in my heart of hearts, I know he's at 92 pitches, 90 is a threshold, but now we're in a different part of, of where we might be able to extend it. It's not his first start off the aisle. It's not a second it's his third and guys, the previous start, he threw, I think upwards of 86 pitches too.
