Liverpool were temporarily top of the Premier League after they defeated Watford 2-0 at Anfield in Saturday’s early kick-off thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Fabinho.You’re listening to the post game podcast with Patrick Smith after a huge title race win for the Reds that saw them claim top spot in the Prem, though unfortunately Sean Dyche and Burnley have done us no favours as City look to regain their slim one point lead.Liverpool and City will of course meet next weekend on Sunday the 10th, sandwiched between the two clubs’ Champions League Quarter-Finals.But as for the Reds, a superb header from the 5 foot 8 aerial threat Diogo Jota following a Trent-esque cross from slot-in right back Joe Gomez opened the scoring.Watford were persistent all afternoon and managed to keep the Reds at bay, until Juraj Kucka decided to rugby tackle Diogo Jota off the ball during a corner, and VAR rightly awarded a penalty which was slammed home by Fabinho.Jurgen Klopp has now won 160 of his first 250 Premier League Games, more than Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger, is he in the conversation for the greatest?We’ve got plenty of expert reaction for you on the post game pod this afternoon, with Ian Doyle’s verdict from the Press Box, Jurgen Klopp’s Reaction from the Dugout, and the voice of the fans from the stands.
