Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Hello, I'm Stephen Carroll. I'm in Brussels, where many of Europe's biggest decisions get made.
And I'm Caroline Hepke in London. We're the hosts of the Bloomberg Daybreak Europe podcast.
We're up early every weekday, keeping an eye on what's happening across Europe and around the world.
We do it early so the news is fresh, not recycled, and so you know what actually matters as the day gets going.
From Brussels, I'm following the politics, policy and the people shaping the European Union right now.
And from London, I'm looking at what all that means for markets, money and the wider economy.
We've got reporters across Europe and around the globe feeding in as stories break.
So whether it's geopolitics, energy, tech or markets, you're hearing it while it happens.
It's smart, calm and to the point.

Chapter 2: What recent changes were made to the weaponization fund?
Jimmy Chang is the chief investment officer at Rockefeller Global Family Office.
It's a tsunami of money going into this ecosystem, driving up not only our economy, but also some of the Asian economies, specifically South Korea and Taiwan. So everything that's involved in the AI ecosystem is on fire right now.
That is Jimmy Chang of the Rockefeller Global Family Office speaking to Bloomberg. After the bell, Palo Alto Networks issued a forecast for adjusted earnings above expectations. The company said the latest advancements at the AI frontier have increased the level of urgency around cybersecurity. In late trading, Palo Alto Networks is up by more than 4%.
We got reaction from Nancy Tengler, CEO and CIO at Laffer Tengler Investments.
We thought that was the case, that AI would bolster future growth. But the question was, it hadn't happened yet. And so now I think we're starting to see management delivering on promises.
Nancy Tengler there. She is the CEO and CIO at Laffer Tengler Investments. President Trump signed an executive order today to work with artificial intelligence companies on protecting against AI-enabled cyber attacks. Now, the order grants the government access to cutting-edge AI models on a voluntary basis to test their capabilities of up to 30 days before they're released to the public.
The government would also establish a clearinghouse to coordinate and de-conflict software vulnerabilities. It is primary election day in six states. In California, voters will have more than five dozen candidates to choose from for governor. And in Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass is facing more than a dozen challengers.
In New Jersey, four Democrats are competing to take on Republican Congressman Tom Keene Jr. in November. Keene has been absent for months, dealing with an unspecified medical issue. And in Iowa, Democrats are feeling hopeful about their chances. The state's heavily agricultural economy has been affected by President Trump's tariff agenda. And that is news when you want it.
With Bloomberg News Now, I'm Doug Krisner, and this is Bloomberg.
