We begin in Arizona, where the Pima County Sheriff's Department has reportedly detained an individual for questioning in connection with the abduction of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie. ABC News is reporting the Sheriff's Department received assistance from the FBI.
Earlier in the day, new information was made available regarding the disappearance of Guthrie. The FBI released photos and a video of a possible suspect. Now the video shows a masked person wearing gloves approaching the front door of Nancy Guthrie's home. The person was carrying a large backpack and what appears to be a handgun in a holster.
We go next to the latest fallout from the DOJ's release of the Epstein files. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has come under fire for his appearance in the files. Lutnick said he did not visit Epstein's private island in 2012 after Epstein was convicted as a sex offender. Here's an exchange between Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen and Lutnick.

I did have lunch with him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me, as were my four children and nannies. I had another couple. They were there as well with their children. And we had lunch on the island.
Now, Lutnick is facing calls to resign over his relationship with Epstein since the files show the relationship was more extensive than Lutnick previously revealed. The White House said today that President Trump has no plans to remove Lutnick from his post. The brother of Elon Musk, Kimball, was connected with at least two women through Jeffrey Epstein.
Emails released by the Department of Justice show an easy rapport between Kimball Musk and Epstein as they discussed party plans, relationships, and whether Musk would be able to visit Epstein's island. In a statement, Kimball Musk said his only meeting with Epstein was in his New York office during the day. Senior U.S.
immigration officials testified today before the House Homeland Security Committee on the Trump administration's immigration crackdown. The hearing focused on the killings of two U.S. citizens during enforcement actions earlier this year in Minneapolis. CFO Sherry House told reporters an unexpected change in tariff provisions cost Ford about $900 million in savings it expected last year. But looking ahead, Stephanie Valdez-Stritty, the director of industry insights at Cox Automotive, says Ford is in good shape.
I think they're going to be well-positioned. They're going to recover from the Nivelles fire. They have a lot of hybrids in place. And if you look at 2025 sales, they were up 6%.

Paramount's guidance has enhanced its hostile takeover offer for Warner Brothers Discovery. In a statement, Paramount said it will cover the termination fee that Warner will have to pay Netflix if it were to end that already agreed upon deal. And Paramount will also backstop a Warner Brothers debt financing. Here is Bloomberg analyst Geeta Raghunathan.
I think this is just Paramount exhausting all of its options before they actually raise the bid. But in my mind, what this signals is, yes, they did stop short of actually raising that $30 bid. But I do think that this signals that they are willing to kind of go back to the table and probably raise that bid as, you know, kind of this thing keeps dragging on.
