News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now. I'm Karen Moscow. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson expects another round of AI focused talks with China in about two months. This is after what he described as very successful talks with his Chinese counterparts in New York over the weekend that touched on artificial intelligence, trade, and investment.
We've now formalized something called the USA China AI dialogues. Uh we've agreed to meet again probably in two months uh in um in Shenzhen.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Besson speaking to CNBC. Besson spoke ahead of a summit this week between President Trump and Xi Jinping, and we get more with Bloomberg's Jill D C.
I'm not sure where we're going to land in terms of major deliverables when it comes to the US and China by the end of this week, when Trump and She do meet, but it does kind of tell you that um, you know, both of these sides maybe are, you know, benefiting from um keeping this relationship fairly steady. But again, you know, I mean, even when it comes to some of these issues like artificial intelligence, it's very difficult to see where exactly they're going to see eye to eye on these things.
I'm ask Bloomberg's Jill Diesis. CNN, MS Now and Politico plan to file a lawsuit after President Trump announced he was removing their journalists access to the White House grounds last week. Bloomberg's Megan Crane reports that ban apparently extends beyond the White House.

Momers Megan Crane, who reports the three outlets, issued a joint statement saying they're filing the lawsuit, quote, to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide What the press reports or publishes. In a post on Truth Social this morning, the President said he cherishes the free press and is instead, quote, instituting an assault on the fake news. President Trump says he is willing to meet with Iran's president as the UN General Assembly gets underway in New York. The President told Fox News he's in deciding mode on the conflict. Bloomberg's Patrick Sykes has more from Istanbul.
We know that uh Iran's president uh Pezesh Kyan is on will be on his way to the UN General Assembly tomorrow. We also know that Iran's foreign minister, Abu Sarraq Shi, uh, left earlier today and he'll be going to New York via Qatar. Qatar, of course, one of the key mediators alongside uh Pakistan in in this conflict. And from Pakistan too, we've got the Interior Minister visiting visiting Tehran later today.
And as Bloomberg's Patrick Sykes, a spokesman for Cutter's Foreign Ministry told Bloomberg this weekend mediators are shuttling between capitals with two goals in mind open Hormuz and stop the war. Well, oil is dropping for a fourth day with Brent set for the longest run of decline since June as traders are tracking those diplomatic efforts to end the US around war. And signs cargo is still getting through the Strait of Hormuz.
How are diplomatic moves in the Iran‑U.S. conflict affecting oil prices and the Strait of Hormuz?
It's down two and a half percent at $97.73 a barrel, Brent at $101.24. There are a couple more key meetings happening in New York this week. Ukraine's President Vladimir Zelensky said he'll meet President Trump during the UN General Assembly, saying the meeting could change a lot and that there is diplomatic momentum. And the President will also meet with New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani at the mayor's residence later.
