The Wall Street Journal says there'll be preliminary discussions at the ambassador level. As for tomorrow's talks with Iran, Pakistani officials say an Iranian delegation is due to arrive in Islamabad tonight, led by the foreign minister and parliament speaker.

Right now, stocks are mixed. The S&P 500 is up two-tenths percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is two-tenths of a percent lower. The Nasdaq Composite is higher by six-tenths of one percent.

The 10-year Treasury yield is up three basis points to 4.3%. Traders are pricing in almost one in three odds that the Fed cuts interest rates before the end of the year.
