It's a distraction. It's a deception that the enemy has put out there. These people are looking all the time for answers to life. I think some of the people who are interested in evolution are trying to connect that in some way.

Chapter 3: How does ancestral involvement affect demonization?
We'd love to talk to you about spiritual warfare. Obviously, you've written a lot of books on this. Yeah, you were telling us pre-roll too, Fred, that you wrote a textbook on angels. You oversee the Department of Theology at Moody. Yeah, where do you want to start with this? This is such a treat, by the way. Thank you. I mean, to have someone that's walked with the Lord as long as you have.
Well, thank you. Thank you. I appreciate being on the program. I've got good reports on your program from a lady in Colorado. She says, oh, yeah, that's a very good program. Let me tell you a story. I've got it in one of my books called Encounters with the Spirit World.
Chapter 4: What is the significance of the 12 owls story on the Navajo reservation?
And that's stories of people that have counseled and that other counselors with a biblical point of view have also counseled. By the way, let's start off with saying, The angel-demon world is very real. Most colleges and seminaries that teach Bible do not put much emphasis upon this. But this has been a problem for a long time.
There's a man called Hebert, Paul Hebert, who wrote a paper called The Excluded Middle. By that, he meant God is up there, we're down here, nothing in between. He said it's a big error. So missionaries go overseas to different cultures. The cultures are all entangled with spiritism, and they aren't prepared for that because they have a Western worldview.
So they have to change their worldview in the process. So we are talking about something that's really real in the Bible. You know, angels are mentioned 108 times in the Old Testament. 165 in the New. As far as demons are concerned, demons are mentioned over 100 times in the New Testament.
Chapter 5: What does Dr. Dickason say about the concept of demon possession?
63 times the word demon or daimon is used, and 43 times numita or spirit is used. So if you pull the story of angels and demons from the Bible, the narrative falls apart.

So you've got to realize that the Bible does present the spirit world as a real thing going on around us all the time. There's activity right now. Well, let me tell you a story to begin with. I went out to Arizona, to Tuba City. I know where Tuba City is. I've been there, Fred. Have you really? I sure have. They had a Navajo in the West. I was invited out to speak about the occult.
There wasn't too much of attendance because, you know, the Navajo are interested in the spirit world but not in Christianity and don't disturb their spirit world. That might cause them problems.
Chapter 6: How can Christians exercise their delegated authority in Christ?
So when I was out there, I met a man who was a Navajo and a pastor and evangelist. And I heard this story before, but I saw this pastor who confirmed the reality of the story to me. Peter Grey Eyes, that was his name, was a Navajo. He was well-to-do. He had a big spread, had a hogan, which is a permanent hippie, and he had a wife and children and cattle and fenced around his place.
And he was well-known in the community. Well, one day, this Navajo pastor led him to the Lord. He became a Jesus man. Well, that didn't go too well with the community out there because they don't want interference with their spirit world. They want it just level. One day he came out at Hogan, and in this big tree beside Hogan, there are 12 owls. Now, owls in the Western society speak of wisdom.
In the Eastern and Indian society, they speak of death. or danger. These 12 owls spoke to Peter in Navajo.
Chapter 7: What challenges do Christians face regarding spiritual warfare?
They said, we're going to kill you, kill you, kill you. Oh, that disturbed Peter. He ran back into the hogan. Wife, what should I do? Go see the pastor. Good advice. So he went to see this pastor that I had met. And he said, what should I do? He said, well, now, Peter, you are a Jesus man.
And this ever happens again, you tell those owls that you are a Jesus man, and they're trespassing on your property because you've given your hogan, your wife, your children, all your spread to the Lord Jesus. You want them out of there. Okay, so he went home. A little while later, he came out of the hogan, and here's the 12 owls in the same tree. We're going to kill you, kill you, kill you.
He ran back into the hogan.
Chapter 8: What lessons can we learn from Dr. Dickason's encounters with spiritual warfare?
Wife, what should I do? As a good wife, she said, well, do what the pastor told you to do. So he went back out, and he said, now listen here, you owls. I'm a Jesus man. I give my wife, my whole gun, my family, my cattle, all my property to the Lord Jesus. You are trespassing. I want you out of here right now. One flew off. Then a second. And a third, pretty soon all 12 were gone.
They never came back. But the interesting thing that we learned from that is that within one year, 12 Indian medicine men died. The Lord was protecting his people. They were putting a curse on him, and they had sent those owls. But the Lord stood up for him as he does for all of us, as we rest in him and take our position in Christ. He knows, he said, in Jesus' name, I want you to go.
The term in Jesus' name is in his authority. When you sign a check, you put your name at the bottom of the check. That means in your authority, you transfer the funds. Well, in Jesus' name and in his authority, he commanded the wicked spirits to go, and they did. I've counseled over 350 people in the last 54 years. Most of them were Christians. They were bothered by wicked spirits bothering them.
The Lord gave them relief, some of them complete relief, very soon. Others took a little while because they'd been through satanic ritual abuse or been involved very definitely in Satanism or witchcraft. So it takes a little while longer. We're not working miracles today. We're counseling people in the name of the Lord Jesus.
And he takes his time with remedying the problems the person has, not just dismissing the spirits, but getting to the root of the matter. What let them in in the first place? What problems do they have? So the Lord's interested in the healing. So he's done that for over 650 people that I know of.
