Gender, Sexuality, Bodies, and Disordered Eating with Brooke

On todays episode I am really excited to be bringing you our next special guest Brooke Lamb. Brooke works at Gosford Hospital and is studying a degree in a Bachelor in Human Resources, majoring in counselling at the University of Southern Queensland. With a special interest in sexology, Brooke will be completing her Master’s degree in sexology at Curtin University in Perth.  Brooke is proudly bisexual and has been in two long- term polyamorous relationships as part of her adult life.  Brooke has lived experience of having recovered from binge- eating disorder after dieting, restricting and cutting out major food groups from her diet. In this weeks episode Brooke will explore her recovery journey dealing with disordered eating, growing up in the dance industry, discovering her sexuality, as well as coping with parental and familial relationships. Brooke is now able to embrace herself knowing that all bodies are beautiful and that she does not need to fit anyones set standards to be able to cultivate her own self- love. Brooke now shares her story in hopes of better supporting those in the LGBTQIA+ community not only with their sexuality but also with their mental health and relationship with self.   So, lets get into it!
