Chapter 1: Who is Dan Soder and what is his connection to Mike McDaniel?
Comedian Dave Soder, is that his name? Is that Mike McDaniel's really? Dan? Dan Soder is Mike McDaniel's really good friend.
They were childhood friends.
Childhood friends, right. And did you see what he said in regards to who he thinks gave the shiv to Mike McDaniel in the back? No. Aikman.
Chapter 2: What did Dan Soder say about Troy Aikman's role in Mike McDaniel's firing?
Oh, really? Well, it makes sense, right? Because I guess Troy had done one of their games late in the year here on a Monday night. And I think it was against Pittsburgh, maybe. And they were down, and they were not going into their hurry-up offense into the fourth quarter. And Troy was openly questioning why they were doing it the way they were doing it. Okay.
And Dan Soder basically said, if you listen to Troy ever do a Miami Dolphin game, you know, he's sitting and questioning. You know, you hear what you want to hear when you're a fan. Sure. And, yeah, he took a huge shot at Troy over this whole thing. And I guess Mike McDaniel must have told Dan. I'm assuming that he told Dan Soder that, hey, I was told I'm good.
And then five days later, I was told I'm out. And by the way, Stephen Ross walked into his office. According to Dan Soder, this is how this played out. According to Dan, Mike McDaniel was doing player, like end of year player interviews. And there was a player in there. And Stephen Ross went walking into that meeting. And Mike McDaniel had to say to the player, we'll pick this up later.
Yeah, no you won't. And, well, he didn't realize why Stephen Ross walked into his office. But, you know what? He did it face-to-face. He did. Everybody says you've got to do it face-to-face unless somebody's not somewhere else and you want to bring them in from California and tell them.
Chapter 3: How did Troy Aikman criticize Mike McDaniel during a game?
Like the Jets did with Aaron Rodgers. And it's Steve Biscotti, right?
Yeah, Steve Biscotti. Because Evan keeps calling him Steve Biscotti, which is a cookie. Biscotti. It's Biscotti. Yes. He's like, and Biscotti's saying this. Do you hear what Biscotti said? Well, Evan's right out there. Just make sure he knows his name. I'll go and see you.
But I just was reminded that because Steve Bishotti, he said he called John Harbaugh because John was going home and he thought that it would be disrespectful to have him turn around and come all the way back to say you're fired.
At the end of the day, there's really no way to do it the right way.
Yeah. I mean, you're firing a guy, right? There's a picture of Mike McDaniel. Mike McDaniel is like a fashion guy. He's a low-key fashion guy. There's a picture of him in an airport. It's hilarious. He's got this checkered suit on. The tie he has is massive. He's got two designer bags, sunglasses. He's an intellectual, man. He went to Yale, right? I mean, this is an insane picture of him.

Chapter 4: What were the circumstances surrounding Mike McDaniel's firing?
And maybe this is what Miami did to him. Oh, without a doubt, Miami and the money. There's no two ways about it. Here, look at this. Al, look at this right here, this picture of Mike McDaniel in the airport. Look at him with the designer bags, the two designer bags, the headphones.
Chapter 5: How did Stephen Ross handle the firing of Mike McDaniel?
I know, but it's like everybody thinks he's just this weirdo nerd, and he shows up looking like this. I'm not sure. Dude, he could walk in and charm anybody too, by the way.
I mean, this guy's got an identity crisis. That's what I think. I mean, you know, who are you? There are a lot of people that want him for offensive coordinator, for sure.
Oh, yeah, and that's why I think, you know, if Rob Sala gets a job that he likes, he's going to work with Rob Sala. I just wonder about these guys who... These guys who are out of it for just ā or not out of it for a year. Like, Rob Saul's been out of it for a year.
But a guy like Mike McDaniel, a guy like Kevin Stefanski, and if they get offered a job, I feel like they just ā they got to take it. That's what they feel like. Because there's only ā most guys end up going right away. Now, if Rabel didn't, John Harbaugh did.
But a guy like Mike McDaniel, will he have the restraint because he probably wants to get that head coaching job so bad again and prove everybody wrong and whatever, that he may take a job he doesn't necessarily like as much as some others just because he wants to get right back into it?
Well, the other thing, too, is that the money is so big. So now most of these guys get fired with a year left on their contract. They don't want to go into a walk year being a ā They want extensions. That could be one of the reasons why Stephen Ross ended up firing Mike McDaniel.
Maybe there was a discussion with the agent about extending him because he wants to look like he is supported from the owner's standpoint. We don't know that. Instead of giving him an extension, he ended up firing him. That could be part of it. Let's go to Jordan in Yorktown.
What's going on, Jordan? What's going on, guys? Happy Friday. Yeah, what's up?
Yeah, listen, I was listening to what you were saying, and it just dawned on me when you said Sal is getting all these interviews. Have you guys considered the fact that people could be just interviewing him for the Rooney Rule? Now, I don't want to take anything away from him. I'm sure he's qualified in some respects, but I just was crunching the numbers while I was on hold here.
