Chapter 1: What are the reactions to Team USA winning gold in hockey?
As we continue on with the reaction, probably the last day we do this, unless there's a parade or something for them. But Team USA winning the gold medal. So I came across this on TSN. So this is up in Canada. Jeff O'Neill, I think he played for the Hartford Whalers back in the day. He's an analyst, and he was of the standpoint of give the U.S. credit.
I didn't understand, and I'll go back to some of my comments during the tournament. Like people, some people, Americans didn't deserve. Yeah, their goaltender played a game that got them the victory. His performance alone was deserving of a gold medal, and they did it. They won it. People are like, this sucks. People were bringing up three on three.
Nobody complained about three on three when Mitch Marner scored.
He would continue about the complaining that he's hearing. I don't know.
I just found some of the commentary after, even from some reputable people in the media, was just ridiculous. Anybody that thinks this is a fair, well, there's nothing fair in sports.
And then you had the host, who I didn't get his name, but he was discussing John Cooper and his comments.
I didn't love Cooper's response to, like, you know, because he was making excuses afterwards. You know, he said, you take four players off the ice. Now hockey's not hockey anymore. There's a reason OT and shootouts are in play. And he was talking about.
Hockey wasn't hockey when Marner scored. Well, exactly. So there he is again, keeping it real.
Right, exactly. I mean, and, you know, and I respect the hell out of John Cooper. Went to Hofstra, played lacrosse there. Stanley Cup winning coach. And he's a great coach. And I understand the frustration because those guys are under enormous pressure up in Canada to win. There are expectations where we have the best team. This is the best team ever assembled. We should win.

Chapter 2: What was the impact of John Cooper's comments on the hockey community?
No excuses, by the way. And no excuses for three on three. I see them all crying. Dude, you have Connor McDavid, Kale McCarr, and Nathan McKinnon. Shut your f***ing face. Shut your f***ing face. He wasn't having it.
That wasn't on WIP, was it? No, that's his podcast.
Shut your face.
Then how good was that win for him?
That was the greatest victory of my entire life. Iconic, iconic, iconic. Iconic. American history.
That's right. And how about Austin Matthews?
This guy wore the C on his chest. And don't you dare devalue his back checking in this game. He back checked like a mother.
By the way, JT Miller and Vincent Trocek played their asses off, too. They played their roles. Billy Guerin, the former player who's now running the Minnesota Wild, he was the GM, basically, of Team USA and had to put the team together. And JT Miller and Vincent Trocek, everybody's screaming, why are they on the team? Why isn't Jason Robertson on the team or this guy on the team?
Well, they had a role. They tried to build a team. so that when they found themselves in a penalty kill situation, that they wanted to have experienced players that have done that and are good at it. And those two guys did their jobs just as much as the Jackuses of the world and the Connor Hellebucks of the world.

Chapter 3: What role did goaltending play in Team USA's victory?
And then this one kind of crosses over basketball and baseball. So Bo Jackson was on Shaquille O'Neal's podcast. And Shaq is telling Bo he's kind of annoyed by the whole bat-breaking thing back in the day.
You made me mad one day. You almost made me break my leg. Did I? I saw you break a bat.
You tried to break a bat?
My Uncle Jerome showed me the clip. I was like, I can do it if you did it. I almost broke my goddamn knee. How did you do it? Did you practice it or was it just you just did it?
Just frustration. Frustration. Why? I took it out on the bat. Because I failed to do my job. I couldn't. I failed to get the runner off.
And then finally. I'm strong. I break back boards. But when I did that, I had to do it like three. It still didn't break. I had to do it like three times. I'm like, what the?
How many bats did you break like that? You didn't do one over your head, did you? Yeah.
Yeah, one time he did.
I remember that, right? He had his helmet on, of course. Can you imagine the neck strength to be able to do that?

Chapter 4: How do players like JT Miller and Vincent Trocek contribute to Team USA?
And I'm 51. If you think I'm driving through a blizzard anymore, wrong.
You know what's crazy is I saw a co-host of mine hit a producer with a baseball bat.
You almost saw another one.
Another show that I did, and I just almost saw another one. I mean, this is crazy. The things that I witnessed.
I work with some men. My blood is boiling so much right now that I would love to take this bat and crack him over his blockhead. I am so annoyed by this stupid-ass comment and topic. It's like the dumbest conversation a human could have. But if you're stupid, you're stupid. Wow.
Oof.
How was that breakfast sandwich? It was really good. Thank you. You're welcome. That's your last one. Fair enough. No more Dunkin' for you.
