It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. All right, Boomer and Geo coming to you live from the Build Forward Tough studio on the Fan and CBS Sports Network. I was the only one around here who really had a connection to the Wu-Tang Clan. And I was surprised about that. I thought maybe somebody would at least have a recollection.
A couple people remembered Method Man, but Al and Young Rami and Jerry and Boomer, really no connection to Wu-Tang Clan. Now, why am I talking about Wu-Tang Clan? If you missed it earlier, we gave away Wu-Tang Clan tickets in the 7 o'clock hour. Now, WFAN has a lot of great listeners from all backgrounds. I also believe that there's a lot of older baseball fans that listen to WFAN.
Chapter 2: What was the Wu-Tang Clan ticket giveaway about?
And some of these older baseball fans will hear a contest going on and they'll just call the contest line to try to win the tickets. And you might get somebody who has no idea who Wu-Tang Clan is, would never go to a Wu-Tang Clan concert that wins these tickets. I think that was probably a possibility. So, Al, who won the Wu-Tang Clan tickets? Oh, okay. He did sound younger. Oh.
And he was very excited. Oh, okay, good. And could not believe his good fortune. Great. Yeah, so it was somebody who does know Wu-Tang Clan. All right, awesome. So, good. Yes. I was happy about that. You've got to remember, for me, I was... the 80s when I was in college and I was a rookie in the NFL. Yeah, I understand.
That was back when the Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Curtis Blow, all those guys were the ones that were the precursor to all of this other stuff. And, you know, that was my, like, hip-hop genre, if you will. I totally understand. And I was playing all that music for you from my iTunes library. See, but I know that stuff. So I know that stuff prior to my time.
And, you know, in the 90s, you know, you have kids, you're distracted, you're getting traded. You're getting tricked. Yeah, I mean, I think that was unique to you and a few other people. I know, but I'm just saying, but, you know, you're kind of like, I don't know, I guess I kind of lost track of some things. Yeah, that's fine. I mean, I don't know.
You don't have to defend yourself into not knowing the Wu-Tang Clan. I'm just saying that I was surprised. It's more a knock on the Wu-Tang Clan than it is a knock on you. I just thought it crossed over more to get to you. But the thing about it is I knew that they were from here. I knew that they were from Staten Island. Heard their music.
I mean, you got a Gen Z-er in there who didn't even really know Wu-Tang Clan at all. He doesn't know anything. I mean, come on. I don't know about that. He knows his little pop culture stuff, yeah, for sure. And he's certainly added a little bit to us, I think, in a good way. Yeah, for the days that Eddie has been out.

But unfortunately, it's going to be Al back there alone. And that's going to be a very, very tough thing for us. Very, very tough. Well, that's up to them, I guess, but that's not an on-air role, I don't believe. I think he's out in the newsroom area. Yeah, he's just a part of the crew, part of the group. But he's not in the control room. Okay. He's out there working on the digital videos. I think somebody sent me something where he was questioning something I said about C-Mac or something yesterday.
Yeah, you could be a little more vague. That'd be nice. Yeah. I just want to make sure that I'm accurate. If he's attacking me, then I'm taking back the Denver Bronco helmet that I gave him. I'm going to make him pay for the Jets tickets to London that I gave him. Wow. Wow. Big time. A little bit of appreciation, maybe. Yeah.
Well, Gallo, he does like to pop off from now and again, but we also give it to him. So it's one of those things. Well, you give it to him. You give it to him, too. Yeah, but you call him Antifa, right? What do you call him? The basic outline. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What do you call him? We call him Antifa Anthony. That's a we thing. Don't put that on me. We came up with it.
Well, I think you might have said first that he was Antifa, and then I just did the alliteration thing after that. Okay. So did he take a shot or not? I thought he was more... That's the one thing about that group is, and what makes him dangerous, the deft off the bench. All right, so I'm just getting this. Yeah, I mean. I don't know what that is. So listen to it. And by the way, it seems like it's an overnight show he was doing.
That was not a part of the current show. Oh, okay. That's an overnight show he was doing. Are you going to listen to it? All right, I guess I will. I mean, you brought it up. What do you want? You're like, is he killing me? Is he not killing me? You're like, oh, here it is. Huh? I can't hear any of it. You got to put your mic on and put it close to the thing.
