Chapter 1: What are the highlights from Wildcard Weekend?
It's the Boomer and Geo podcast from WFAN. Hi, the Boomer and Geo football picks are presented by FanDuel Sportsbook, America's number one sportsbook and the official sportsbook of WFAN. Order was restored finally on wildcard weekend as I had the best record. Probably for the only time the entire year. I show up in the playoffs. That's me. That's what I do.
When it's really on the line, that's when I come through. So, Boomer, 2-3, 47-48 on the year. Jerry Owen, 5, now 42-51-2. And after my winning week, I'm still 11 games under .500. That's right. 3-2. But this smells like, feels like... Sounds like a 4-0 week. It just does. And we're going to go through it now.
Jerry, let's hear them. Well, I think it's very cute that you have FanDuel as a sponsor. My sponsor is Loserville.com because that is what I am. I can't pick these games to save my life, but hell, we're going to give it a try. So we'll start with the first game at 4.30 tomorrow in Denver. Broncos and Bills. The Broncos minus 1.5. I said it, middle of the season.
If this isn't Josh Allen's year, it never will be. The Broncos are probably the better team. They're not banged up. They're healthy. I get it. I am taking wuss boy Josh Allen, as Al likes to call him, to go into Denver with the point and a half. Not that that should matter all that much. I am going to take the Bills fans. I'm sorry because this hasn't gone well for me.
But I am going to take the Bills plus one and a half. By the way, also, Sean Payton. Remember that whole thing with the reporter? Yeah. Apparently they're friends, and that was a joke. Oh, okay. What do you know about running? and downhill. He comes out yesterday and goes, I got lambasted for that. We were kidding. Kind of funny. Game number two for me. The Seahawks and the Niners in Seattle.
I know the Seahawks dominated them Week 18 in Santa Clara. And again, I know the Niners are banged up.

Chapter 2: Which team is favored in the Broncos vs. Bills matchup?
Seven points, so I don't usually look at the points all that much. That's a lot. And I am going to take—I still think the best player on the field is Christian McCaffrey. I am going to take the Niners plus the seven in Seattle tomorrow night. That's pick number two. Pick number three, Sunday, 3 o'clock, Patriots and Texans. The guy to my left—
had me on the Texans a few weeks ago when they were winning and winning and winning, and they continue to win, and the way they're doing it is dominant defensively. I'm taking the Texans to go on the road and beat the Patriots, not to mention the fact they get three points. So pick number three is the Texans. And finally, Sunday night, Bears-Rams.
I can't believe the Bears are getting three and a half points at home, but they are. Not much respect here. And I am going to take... Al's favorite team. I'm going to take the Chicago Bears plus the three and a half. Rams might win a close game, but I'm taking the Bears plus the three and a half.
All right, Jerry. I've got three road teams here on divisional playoff weekend, but the first pick is my home team. I love the Denver Broncos this week. This is my favorite pick of the week. The Buffalo Bills, if you sat there and watched that Jacksonville game, man, I tell you, they can't do a damn thing if Josh Gallant isn't a superhero. And he is, and he tends to be a lot of the time.
But I feel like this is just too much of a tall order going into Denver, a team off a bye, coached by a Hall of Fame Super Bowl winning head coach. I know Denver has not...
If you look at their season, even though they've got a long winning streak, you can poke holes in who they are and comebacks and all that stuff, but they continue to win, and they're not going to go out in their first playoff game this year. So Josh Allen, despite him being great in this game, it's not going to be enough. Give me the Denver Broncos minus one and a half.
I just have so much respect for Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch, Rob Sala, as well as a defensive coordinator, not as a head coach, to say that Seattle's going to beat them by more than a touchdown. I can't do it. Seattle could very easily move on. Maybe Sam Darnold changes his whole legacy in this game, but give me the Niners. Plus seven.
Houston's defense just, I mean, you saw what they did to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh got that turnover, that second turnover. They went four yards and eight plays, for God's sake. So give me the Houston Texans. I'm speeding through, so give Boomer a little time here. I'd also like the Rams. Told you earlier, Rams minus three and a half. Everybody's saying the cold, the cold, the cold.
They went into Philadelphia and should have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles last year in the snow. So give me the Rams minus three and a half.

Chapter 3: What insights are shared about the Seahawks and 49ers game?
I think it's going to be a really tight game, man, and I'm going to take the Bills. I think the Bills will win, but I'll take the 1.5 points on the road with Josh Allen. I'm hoping and I'm rooting for him, so there may be a little bit of sympathy picking here, but I hope he gets it done. All right, Seahawks versus the 49ers. I'm going to take the Seahawks into seven points.
That Igby, Smith Igby, what's – Yeah, what Don called him. Yeah, a Smith and Jigba, right? So he is a tremendous, tremendous athlete, and I think he and Sam Darnold have something special there. I love Clint Kubiak's offense, and I know that Kyle Shanahan is great, but just too many injuries. I'm going to lay the seven, and I'm going to take the home Seahawks.
Texans have been my team since probably week five, And I've picked them to go all the way to the Super Bowl, so I've got to pick them to win here. I'm going to get the three points here, and I'm going to take the Texans as well. My other Super Bowl pick is the Rams. And I do think the Rams are going to win the game, but I think it's going to be really tight.
And I'm going to take that three and a half points and the Chicago Bears as they make it close late in the game like they always do. So I will take the Bears, Texans, Seahawks, and Bills.
