Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
We've got the doubleheader on Sunday, Broncos-Patriots AFC Championship game. We've got Jarrett Stidham playing quarterback for Denver. So the old question to Sean Payton, have you discussed the old Hostetler-Sims thing with Parcells now that you've got Stidham in the playoffs?
We've had a couple conversations. We speak regularly, so the topics might vary. Obviously, that topic came up, and then there were other things, you know, that we discussed.
Chapter 2: What insights does Sean Payton share about Jarrett Stidham?
The one thing he can't do, he can't do a surprise onside kick to start the second half.
That is true.
That is true.
Was it the Saints that did that to the Colts? Yeah, the Super Bowl, yeah. In Miami. He talked about this last week, and he does it again this week in terms of the home field advantage with the crowd, but even more specifically because of the way the Patriots play offensively.
This is a team at the line of scrimmage that does a lot. Josh is fantastic at putting together good plans offensively. And so there's alerts, there's kills, there's all. And so that, look, let's go. Again, I keep emphasizing.
Right when the play starts and the play ends, he just wants it loud throughout in the huddle at all times. So that game is at 3 p.m. The later game at 6.30 will be the NFC Championship between the Seahawks and the Rams. Our old pal Sam Darnold knows the Rams are going to be a challenge third time through.
They're a really good team. Obviously, it's the NFC Championship, so two best teams in the NFC going at it. So, yeah, it's a really good opportunity to just play good football.
And here is Darnold just trying to stay grounded, knowing the importance of this game. Super Bowl is next.
Obviously, we know the stakes. Kind of like I said last week, you know the stakes of the game. It's win or go home at this point, but... you know, we look at it as another game.

Chapter 3: What challenges does Sam Darnold face in the NFC Championship?
No kidding. Just one kick or punch and down we would go. Yeah. The Dolphins introduced Jeff Halfley as their new head coach. A couple more for Steven Ross. The Dolphins have not been a good franchise, and he is well aware of how bad it's been.
The frustrations I know that you've all had reading the newspapers, which I don't read anymore, because it just emphasizes to me the frustration that I have. So I really looked at this to really be...
And so he's got the Packer connection with the GM and the head coach, and he wants to change the feel around the club.
When you really look and think about people, you want to get people who are winners, people who came from winning organizations, so they know what winning is.
And he believes he has done that with these two hires. Meantime, the Bears are still cleaning things out and trying to pick up the pieces from their early exit from the playoffs. Here was Ryan Poles. One thing very clear, and that's the job Ben Johnson did year one.
He talks about being a first-time coach. It didn't feel that way at all. His ability to take, like you said, the words off the wall and push that to his players and see them respond was incredible.
And then you know how we've talked numerous times about the exit interviews. Tom Thibodeau got fired because it certainly seems like the Knicks didn't want to play for him anymore. Well, that's not the case in Chicago. Quite the opposite from polls.
Even in some of the feedback we got, these guys were – Just doubling down on his message, when he got to the locker room, there was no hesitation. There was no gray area. They pushed forward because they believed in what he was saying and what he needed from them.
I would say that sounds pretty good then for year two coming in next year. The Ravens hired Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to be their new head coach. Mike McDaniel said to BSL Diana Rossini post that he's interviewing with the Bills today for their head coaching job.

Chapter 4: How do Jets fans feel about Sam Darnold's success?
And the Cowboys hiring Eagles secondary coach Christian Parker for their new defensive coordinator position. Joe Douglas interviewing in Atlanta for their GM spot. Baseball, I'll get to the Mets in a moment, but I don't want to run out of time here. I want to give you these Ben Davis clips on WIP. So Davis, a former big leaguer, is a part of the TV broadcast with Tom McCarthy and John Kruk.
And one thing that is very evident is he's annoyed that Bo Bichette walked away from the Phillies deal to take the Mets deal. And he says it's for one reason and one big reason only.
He chose the Mets because they gave him opt-outs with a high annual thing. Correct. That if he stinks, he gets to stay, and if he's good, he gets to leave and get a bigger deal. Correct. That's why he chose the Mets. Correct.
I don't think anybody argues with that. That's probably very true. Sounds smart to me. Yeah. 100%.
Here's where he takes his first shot at the Mets. That's a losing organization up there. It just is. Even though they're pretty good? They're pretty good. But you think there's a loser stink to them? There's something about them. They give off the vibe that they're losers.
It sounds funnier than it reads. We have losers.
The host then does remind him... Even though they beat the Phillies and made... Was it the World Series or the NLCS years ago? NLCS. They lost to the Dodgers, right?
They had the Phillies number that year. The bottom line. They had the Phillies number. They found a way to pitch to him and they stuck to it and they beat him.
And then he couldn't help himself. A little more hating on the Mets.
