The Woke Awards (afl. 147)

20 Nov 2024

Description

Stefan Ruitenbeek (KIRAC) invited me to join him at The Woke Awards at Impact Festival 2024 with the theme: Deal With It. 'And we allow ourselves the right to critically highlight the current meaning of the term. It's time to create some space. And from within, with the necessary self-irony, to shake things up.' 'It's the ultimate example of left-wing self-undermining,' Stefan reads out loud from an app conversation with a friend, 'to openly admit that you have a weak ideology and that it needs to be overhauled, because right-wing people can easily mock you. A kind of sacrificial ritual, an extreme "wokey" needs to be sacrificed, so that we, the "wokies", look better or something. Ethnic cleansing of the "woke" community.' This is my video diary of The Woke Awards and the conversations I had with the people involved... *** Audio nabewerking: Jasper Cremers Mecenas Patreon / sponsors : Josha Sietsma, Sietske's Pottery, Cartoon Box Steun Open Geesten / Zomergeesten / Boze Geesten Podcast 👉 👉 Steun het kanaal via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/bozegeestenpodcast 👉 Steun het kanaal via Petje af: https://petje.af/bozegeestenpodcast 👉 Volg het debat op Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michiellieuwma/ 👉 SUBSCRIBE op het YouTube-kanaal: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7NxD1gugqog0fzMOAflOKA?sub_confirmation=1 ***
