(Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology) from University of Konstanz, Germany. She joined the University of Zurich where she investigated the neurobiological long-term effects of cocaine, MDMA, and heroin use. After completing her PhD, she investigated the effects of psychedelics on self-perception and social cognition. She worked at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, UCL, London, and Yale University, New Haven.
