Chapter 1: What unexpected event changed Zemi's life in just 72 hours?
Black history lives in our stories, our culture, and the conversations we still have in today. This Black History Month, the podcast I Didn't Know, Maybe You Didn't Either, digs into the moments, perspectives, and experiences that don't always make the textbook. Let me tell you about Garrett Morgan. Bruh had to pretend he didn't even exist just to sell his own invention.
Listen to I Didn't Know, Maybe You Didn't Either from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or simply wherever you get your podcasts. I didn't know. In the middle of the night, Saskia awoke in a haze. Her husband Mike was on his laptop. What was on his screen would change Saskia's life forever. I said, I need you to tell me exactly what you're doing.
And immediately, the mask came off. You're supposed to be safe. That's your home. That's your husband. Listen to Betrayal Season 5 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It is wild. It is February already. Hey, welcome to a brand new episode of your second day podcast with Brooke and Jeffrey.

Chapter 2: How did Zemi meet the social media influencer Addison?
Because that last month felt long. Dude, I always feel like January is 822 days. And then once you hit February, you wake up and it's November.
Yeah. Downhill. What happened?
But we got a new episode to get you through it. A new Awkward Tuesday phone call today. And we always love to start with your comments.
Yes, Cora said, I used to listen to you guys on the radio when I'd go to work with my dad six to eight years ago. We lived in Idaho at the time, and I just started to again after finding you guys on TikTok, and I've been here for maybe seven months. Dude, that's so awesome. Oh, cool. You're back. Wait, did you get a new job? Were you eight years without a job? Send your resume.
I want to see. Her dad got lost. Oh, yeah.

Chapter 3: What was Zemi's reaction to going viral on social media?
I'm going to drive one morning. Hey, thanks for being here.
Welcome back.
Yeah, thanks for finding us. A brand new episode just for you starts right now. Did you know actress Charlize Theron was discovered randomly by a Hollywood agent who witnessed her arguing with a bank teller? What? Oh. Whoa. True story. That's crazy. Also, Pam Anderson, she got spotted on a hockey game Jumbotron. Yo.
Yeah.
That's how she was found. And Timothee Chalamet was discovered when a director mistook him for a coat rack and popped him into a scene. And they were like, oh, wait, he's a human and he can act.
Daniel. You're now the hottest guy in Hollywood somehow.
I know. Just in one instant, everything changed for all these people. And one of our listeners says that's now happening to him.
Really?
Because he walked into a bakery one morning as just a normal nobody, and now thousands of strangers know his name. Whoa. And it has created a very weird issue that only we can help him with. You're going to hear it in your brand new Awkward Tuesday phone call.

Chapter 4: What concerns does Zemi have about Addison using his name?
I can't wait to hear about the last 72 hours.
Yeah. What's happened? How did your life change? So I was at a bakery recently. I was waiting in line to get these really popular fruit scones that they make. Please tell me like a muffin turned your life around. That's right. Same, Jose. Yeah, they're really great. They recently went viral. That's what this whole thing is about. So I'm standing in line, right?
And there's this really cute girl behind me. Oh. And she asked me, hey, can you move over so I can get a video of the food case? Oh, okay. Oh, she's doing like a video. She wants to film the food. I'd be worried that she was just using it as a ruse to take my spot in line.
Chapter 5: How did Zemi feel about being filmed during his date?
Oh, yeah. She does that all the way to the very front.
Am I the only one who's like, she's so nice. She's bringing home food for somebody.
Yeah, I know. Oh, she is. She could be like taking pictures like, hey, what do you guys want? Maybe. Okay. What did you do? Well, she says, hey, how many are you going to buy? Because she doesn't want them to run out.
Oh.
okay i tell her i'm gonna buy all of them she can buy one of them off of me for triple the price whoa okay this is a joke like you're flirting in a joking way yeah yeah okay okay he's like no i'm an entrepreneur he's like yeah unless you were to offer me a lot of money right but that's good you like crack a joke what'd she say She laughed and said, rude.
And then we became like instant friends right there as we were waiting. Her name is Addison.
Okay.
And then she asked me, hey, will you be in my video and try a scone with me? I'm an influencer. I was like, sure. Okay. Okay.
Probably didn't expect to do it, but why not? Cool.

Chapter 6: What advice did the hosts give Zemi for his awkward phone call?
Really? Or is it not annoying?
I feel like it's like, but on a date, you're like, you know, there's a difference between work and personal. How did you feel about it? Well, I mean, you know, she's cute, so... If you want to film me 24-7, I guess you have my consent. Okay. Here's kind of the weird part.
I go to use the restroom, and I'm in the stall, and I start to search on my phone for her, and I find her Instagram, and she does have a ton of followers.
Okay, so she's legit. That's cool.
Yeah, and the last couple videos are of me. Right, yeah. Well, yeah. She's been filming both of you, right? Yeah, exactly. I mean, video of us at the bakery, and the caption is, cute guy found in the wild. Oh! Okay. Awesome. What a win for you. And then there's another video was like, oh my gosh, he kissed me.
What? You kissed her, bro. You didn't tell us that.
Wait, yeah, you were kissed? Well, yeah. Okay. I mean, these are all, like, good things it sounds like she's saying, but why are you saying them so hesitantly? Yeah, what's the problem? Well, it was just so weird to see my love life playing out in real time on social media. Don't date anyone on this show. Yeah.
Don't date anyone influencing.
I'm not used to this, and so there's a lot of engagement, like, you know, they're all like, oh, I think you found the one. Oh. Wow. That's... But the weird thing was some of my friends start messaging me and sending me links like, have you seen this? Yeah, it just happened a couple of days ago and I haven't talked to her about this. I mean, I'm okay with her posting some videos of us.

Chapter 7: How did the conversation between Zemi and Addison unfold?
Right. The issue I do have is I'm not cool with her using my actual name.
Like I have a pretty unique name.
Yeah, Zemi.
Zemi with a Z, yeah. Don't know a lot of those. Okay. So you're okay with your face and stuff being in the videos, just not actually saying who you are as a full name? Yeah, I enjoy hanging out with her, obviously, and I'm happy to help her make her videos, but I don't want my personal stuff being put out there and strangers looking me up and finding me.
That makes sense because people can DM you and harass you and stuff if they have your username.
And if you end up dumping her, you're going to be the villain.
People online do weird stuff.
Okay, so I see you're uncomfortable. We're going to come back and we'll give you our advice on how to make this awkward Tuesday phone call to an influencer you met days ago and tell her, hey, here's how I think you should run your account. Okay, well, maybe we'll word it a little bit differently. Okay, we'll find the nicer way to say that with your awkward Tuesday phone call.
Next.

Chapter 8: What was the outcome of Zemi's request to Addison about his privacy?
So there's the issue. He wants to tell Addison, hey, I found your social media and please don't use my name anymore. Okay. Now we need some advice for how he can do this. Brooke, what do you think?
very easy you need to spin it as a positive okay is that me so like in the radio world like oh nicknames are big right there's cabbage patch or there's cabana boy yeah yeah so you need to know and tell her for branding it would be way better if you were just known as scone boy oh you know what i mean what do you think of that scone boy that's not a bad idea nickname yeah yeah
I like it as a potential nickname even for this segment.
There you go, Jeff.
Let's do the awkward Tuesday scone boy call.
It's not working the way you say it.
It doesn't have a ring to it. You've been sconed.
Brooke, you know what? I changed my mind. That was a terrible idea.
I can't believe you suggested that. I'm sorry, Zemi.
