Well, hello again, friends, neighbors, and associates everywhere. I'm your semi-retired, mostly washed up host, formerly of the Rick and Bubba Show, and now your host of Bubba on the Lake. And we are so glad that you have joined us. This podcast is also known as the People's Podcast. We're broadcasting from the Meliella studio. Our website is BubbaOnTheLake.com, and we'll talk more about the website in just a minute. Our message line, 308 Big Lake, and we're going to hear some of those also in just a minute. Don't forget to turn on your notifications, subscriptions, likes, follows, all of that stuff for all of our social media. We don't want you to ever miss a moment. of Bubba on the Lake. And again, I want to remind the new folks who are tuning into the podcast, just because it's Bubba on the Lake doesn't mean it's just about lake.
There is some lake life stuff that we talk about. There's also a lot of other things that we talk about. And we cover water everywhere. You might be on the Gulf of America. We cover that, and we're going to cover that some more this summer before it's over. But being on the lake is more of a state of mind. It's just that, hey, it's going to be okay. And hey, don't get in too big a hurry, which is a problem for me being 15 minutes early everywhere I've been my whole life because of my military dad who was in World War II. But we're doing what we can do. And we certainly appreciate you being part of this. The podcast is about people, places, and perspectives. Coming up, We have an update with our senior military analyst, Colonel Jason Benefiel, retired on what's going on in Iran.
We have now brought back military operations there as the Iranians cannot seem to get to the table and keep their word. So they're going to have to be punished. We'll get up with him on what's going on with that, what the strategy is, and also cover a little bit about Russia and what they're doing over in the Ukraine and how that may be playing into some of that. So we'll get updated on that. Stuart, the tech guy, will be along. You know, SpaceX had a very successful launch this week, and we'll talk a little bit about that and a few other things. And we're going to try to get an interview with the Alabama Broadcaster Association President Lee Perryman in. I don't know if we're going to have time. If not this podcast, it'll be the next one.
So we'll jump into that and get that going. I mentioned the website. Um, there is a lot of, you know, I, I get good comments on the website and I'll tell you what our goal was with the website. It was to be simple, clean, and get you information. Uh, so many of the websites I go to now, they've got so many creative types involved. Uh, it's kind of like you're, you're, you're on a search, you know, you're, you're hunting and you're pecking and you're, you're trying to get through all these extreme graphics and all these things just to find out what you want to find out. Well, ours is a little simpler. We got blue buttons there. You can go to episodes. You can find out about the podcast. You can find out news.
