37. Do Your Finances Give You a Heart of Fear, Worry and Anxiety? How a Small Amount of Faith Can Calm the Storm

Settling into the storm is so easy to do, but not what God calls us to do. This week has been a rough one for me. My daughter is teething and running 104 degree fevers. I have went to the doctor and called the office more times in one week than I have ever done before, and needless to say, I am riding one heck of a storm. I am fearful that something bad could happen yet, there is nothing more that I can physically do. I tell you this not for sympathy or to make you feel bad, but rather to open up what God has placed on my heart to share with you.    During this time of fear, worry and anxiety He has placed on my heart a passage from the bible that has helped me through this storm. It is Matthew 8: 23-27. This is a pretty popular passage where Jesus Calms the Storm, and man are there storms raging inside of me.    One of them includes our finances as we have yet to settle into this new job and now have medical expenses to worry about and unfortunately my finances have been impacting the choices I have made concerning my daughter's care.    And I’m 100% certain I am not alone here! You may not be in this season right now, but I know that you have probably made some decisions that you might not have made if finances had not been an issue.
