PMDD Took My Daughter's Life - Donna

Bachelor fans may recognize Donna Micheletti from an episode of Dr. Phil or from season 14 of The Bachelor. Donna's daughter Gia Allemand, who was a popular cast member that season, took her life in 2013. Gia struggled with suicidal thoughts and attempts in her teen years and was eventually diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual  Dysphoric Disorder), a disorder that affect roughly 4 million women in the United States. Many women with PMDD are wrongfully diagnosed with bipolar because few doctors know much about PMDD. Sufferers of PMDD are more than 3 times more likely to attempt suicide than the average woman.
