Chapter 1: What are Mark Henry's initial reactions to the go-home Smackdown before Backlash?
What's going on, guys? World's Strongest Man Mark Henry here, and I'm going to be reacting to the Go Home Show right before we have Backlash. Tune in. It's going to be good. This is the Busted Open Podcast. Wow, what a damn show. Andre is efforting getting the last couple of minutes of the show for me because when I come on, I always got to come on before the show ends.
So I always let that be known so we'll get to what happened in the main event at the end. But it was going so well. I laughed so hard.
Chapter 2: How did Jacob Fatu's promo impact the storyline?
I was thoroughly entertained. I know there's a lot of wrestling peers that was like, man, all of that wrestling should have been at the end. But guys, hey, we're sports entertainment. So you take what you get and enjoy the hell out of it. This show, I would go on record as saying this is the most wrestling that I've seen on SmackDown in probably... Three or four months.
I mean, from the beginning of the show to the end of the show, it was wrestling, wrestling, good matches, long matches, too. Like you would think that. It would have been a bunch of collection of little five minute, six minute matches, but it wasn't. I thought that the women's six man tag was just damn near pay-per-view quality if they had done a little bit of the bells and whistles.
But the biggest part of the show was the beginning and how it started. And Jacob Fatu... making his presence known and him coming out and getting in the ring and letting everybody know what was what. And of course, you know, he had his interaction with the Usos and Andre has got a lot of that sound. But before we get to the sound, I wanted to talk about
what you thought about the whole act of it, the way that it felt. Now, you would think that the way Jacob was talking, that he would be the bad guy. Like he's hating us, but it's not. The way that they framed it these last three or four weeks is that Jacob is being held back, that he wants an opportunity to be the head guy.
And he's not given that opportunity because people think in his family that he is not ready, that he's jumping the gun, that there's a lot that comes with it that he don't know. Well, I mean, how many of y'all out there have had that said about you? I think that's a very common story in the grandest scheme of things.
I know that I was told that it wasn't my time to back off, you know, wait, you're not ready. And it eats at you. And you can tell that it's really affected Jacob. Now, if the Usos were On the right side of this, they would say, cuz, ooze, brother. It's not saying that it's not your time in the sense that you're not ready. But there's a pecking order. There's a chain of command.
Like, can't you just conform and wait for your opportunity? Because maybe you could be the US champion. Maybe you could be the continental champion. Maybe you could join us. We could win the tag titles. Like anything. But nobody goes to Jacob with rational conversation. They're always just, I feel like the Usos, especially the Usos, being relatives, it's like they're choosing Roman over him.
And I don't know about y'all, but I got a lot of rebelliousness in me. If you tell me I can't have or can't do something, I'm going to prove it to you. I'm stronger with doubters. And Jacob, I feel like the way that he addressed the situation today, that Jacob is gonna prove to them. He's done talking. You see how short he was with them.
Andre, you have some of the sound from Jacob addressing the Usos and the Usos addressing Jacob. Play that sound, please.

Chapter 3: What were the highlights of the wrestling matches on Smackdown?
Yeah. Trying to say, if, if I lose my family, what? There's no losing. There ain't no acknowledging nothing. See, this just ain't a main event. This is for my family. So if there's one thing that my family will see me doing, it's becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Hey, and y'all can tell by now, if you ain't know, oh, I'm ready to put it all on the line and die for mine.
Can we just say the same thing about Roman? Is Roman ready to die for his? Man, hell no, because he's going to know tomorrow night at Backlash that Jacob Fatu is all gas. No brakes with it. Y'all are like me.
Listen man, that is not a guy that sounds doubtful. That's not a guy that sounds afraid. That is a guy that is ready to step up to the situation. I did not like it. And I'm going to tell you, I mean, I'm entitled to my opinion. Guys, this is not fact. This is not something that, you know, you write it down and say, hey, you can put this on the coffin. I mean, you can put this on a tombstone.
No, this is my opinion. Uso, Jimmy phrased it very mean to me. When he said your family is gonna be sitting in the front row and you're gonna force them to watch you get decimated or beat up or destroyed or whatever adjective that he used, like you're gonna do that? You're gonna say that to a dude that is already on the brink of punching people in the face? That's insightful.
And I felt like that they were not being helpful in that situation. And it made them look like bad guys. Now, I know that the Usos are solid human beings. But this was not their best moment.

Chapter 4: What was significant about the women's six-man tag match?
It was not. Andre, you have the sound of the Usos addressing Jacob. Okay, we don't have that sound. We'll look for it later. But the whole point of that whole Jacob starting the show and doing what he did, it made me seem like, man, I really want to see Jacob win this now. And there are two outcomes that could come out of this.
Roman can beat Jacob and Jacob can go and fall in line or Jacob can win this. And what does that say about the future for Roman reigns for WWE going forward for the Usos having to come and stand in front of him and apologize. What is it going to say for Solo and the NFTs? What is it going to say? There's a lot going on. And the story with Solo and Royce Keys, they kind of tie into it.
They're on the other side of the coin, but it's the same coin. And I was very impressed with the flow of the show. How many of y'all got up, went to the bathroom, went, got something to eat, turn the channel to the basketball that was going on or whatever. Not many, because if you were a wrestling fan, you enjoy the way that the show went in and out. And it always went back to wrestling.
And Andre, like I told you before the show started, I said, man, when was the last time you saw this many matches? And what'd you tell me?
I had a really hard time multitasking, because usually before the show, you know, I'm typing up a rundown, getting everything ready for tonight's show. And I'll have SmackDown playing, and I'll be listening into it, seeing from the corner of my eye, but still able to do a whole lot of stuff. With tonight, I had a hard time. Really hard. I was glued to the screen.
Because Tiffany Stratton and Keanu James, very good. It wasn't a short match. And then Damien Priest, with all of the stuff that happened with that, and him and Tama Tonga, that was a good-ass match. Even with all of the stuff on the floor and them, no, no, let him do it on his own. He wanna do it on his own? Let him do it on his own.

Chapter 5: How did Cody Rhodes and Gunther's interaction unfold?
And I'm gonna tell you, like, for your money, for your money, The, probably the best match on the show today was the six women tag. Rhea Charlotte and Alexa Bliss against Fatal Influence was good as hell. And then it had bells and whistles to it. You have Jade Cargill come out. You have B-Fab and Meechan come out. And they run interference. And there's dips and ups and downs.
And Jade ends up kicking Rhea. Like, I mean, it was really damn good. And it set up the future, which is even better. Coming up next, we'll continue with my reactions to SmackDown.

I love the fact that Cody had his interaction too. And we have the sound for Cody and Paul, and Gunther had his say-so about it. I don't know which one we ought to go with first, Andre. I think that it was Gunther that made the first appearance. So let's play the Gunther sound and what he said.
What you did last week was unacceptable and I hope that this is the last time we ever have to have a conversation like this. But that being said, I'm very happy to have you on the blue brand. Welcome aboard.
Is that really how you want to talk to your future WWE champion? What's happening here?
Hey, that's my time, okay? If those are the things... I don't know.
I'm here to sign a contract, and you can just walk out?
I appreciate that. I understand.

Chapter 6: What are the implications of Gunther's contract signing in Italy?
They've crossed everybody. They beat everybody. There's nothing left. The people that protected you, gone. What's next? It felt to me like this was the first time in Cody's existence with dealing with Paul and all the guys that Paul represented, that he looked at Paul and thought, damn, I'm by myself. Maybe I do need an advocate. And I've been saying this pretty frequently, Andre.
Pretty frequently I've been saying, I feel the dark side in Cody Stern. And can you imagine the story of the emperor and Lord Vader Running rampant on SmackDown. Let the heat flow through you. I can see it. And there's people right now at home going, no, Mark, no. Guys, everything leads to somewhere. And I feel like Andre, that this is where it's leading to. What do you think?
I have been proclaiming this for years now, Mark. I have been on the Cody bandwagon for the longest. I've wanted him to finish his story for the longest, all for this payoff. Those two find it was happy. It was exactly what wrestling needed. But what for the degenerate fan in me, what I truly have wanted to see is Homelander Cody finally come to life.
Oh, my gosh.
Cody omnipotent. How do you say? Omnipotent. There we go. Omnipotent, Cody. I can't even say it.

Chapter 7: What are Mark Henry's thoughts on the Usos' role in the storyline?
That's how high a word that is once Cody reaches that level.
And what was the kind of a kick in the lower nether region? Cody was ready to go. And Paul said, no, you're not calling the shot. I'm calling the shots. This is my favor to Gunther. And it's not going to be in America. It's going to be in Italy. So now Cody has to sit and wait and think. Golly, there's so much going on. Backlash is coming. And I got to get myself prepared for this European tour.
And guys, the European tours are not easy. Anything can happen. When I say anything can happen, I mean, I wrestled eight days in a row, a different city, slept in a different bed, spent most of my time on a damn bus going five hours every night from one place to the other. You get to the match and sometimes you beat up. You don't have nothing left.
Gunther's going to get Cody compromised because he's not going to be 100. So I'm really curious to see how that's going to work out. And I thought it was a good caveat for Gunther to get some love from the international fans because you don't want to do it in America.
Chapter 8: What predictions does Mark Henry make for the upcoming Backlash event?
You talk about heat. He got heat with me. And I was the one that was always giving Gunther love. So I thought that was pretty damn good.
