Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Welcome to Busted Open After Dark.
Chapter 2: What are Tommy Dreamer's thoughts on NXT Revenge Week 2?
I'm your host, Tommy Dreamer, talking everything NXT's revenge and the women steal the show again. This is the Busted Open Podcast. The last woman standing. Zarya, Saul, Ruka, the two women beat the living crap out of each other. I hope Saul's okay on that end table bump. And at the end of the day, your sole survivor is Zarya. So obviously Zarya, who her entrance is awesome. I truly love it.
It reminds me of like... a video game or like when those, what was those, those 300 movies first came out and they were just shot differently and how it's presented. And I'm a big fan of her and I hope she has, uh, a better reign or stay in developmental system of NXT. I think she could really rise to an extremely loaded female roster.
It's funny, I'm on a chain with a lot of wrestlers, different group texts, and they were like, man, NXT has so many talented women. And they're like, their men really need to step up. And I'm like, right now, if you're a male in NXT, it's there for the taking for being a top guy in that brand.
Chapter 3: How did Zarya perform in the recent women's match?
Obviously, they're pushing Shiloh Hill, Ricky Saints, who's been teased to be leaving. If this is going to be a Ricky Saints, maybe a SmackDown matchup. call up so a lot of people that we talked about what last week or the week before about potentially getting called up are now uh already there and Ricky Saints was that last person um but you know Shiloh Hill uh
But the women, man, the women, they have a lot of stars. And you saw it tonight in the main event. But, I mean, think about it. Back-to-back gimmick matches. And I was also thinking, I think within the span of the last two months, we have seen three casket matches on free television between TNA with... Man, it was Mustafa Ali and Elijah.
Then it was Darby Allen and the guy who just got hurt in AEW. Forgot his name. And the guy from New Japan, Andre. Bald guy. Really like him. Comes out on his knees. He just got hurt. He's out for a while. Al Fletcher. No, the other bald guy. The brand new from the latest New Japan acquisition or the third latest. He's the wild child. He was their top guy for a long time. Anyway, he's in a group.
They kidnapped Darby Allin. They put him in a truck. I know that happens a lot to Darby. He doesn't have a lot of friends and he gets kidnapped a lot. I see his face when the name comes in. I'll hit you up right away. But I know who you're talking about. And now we have the ladies going at it. Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe. It was a really, really excellent show.
coffin match uh i loved it i thought both women did phenomenal um there were so many great moments and these are you know moments in these you know type of matches and the fans do get really behind them um man the earliest casket match i ever saw was in the actual paul bosh houston uh gabe kidd that's right he's the guy gabe kidd versus darby allen sorry for going off course.
Uh, the first casket match I ever saw was from Paul Bosch's, um, fed in Houston. I saw one with dusty and Kevin Sullivan and they were legit like little pine boxes. And I was like, dusty ain't going in that pine box cause it's too small to fit them. Um, and, uh, they become, I mean, WWE really has done them great. You know, once the
character, the undertaker came around and, you know, I remember Yoko being in them. I know Mark Henry's been in them, but, uh, always done pretty damn cool Tatum. It's perfect for her gimmick. Uh, and again, both women really, really beat the crap out of each other. They both got their own gimmicks over Blake, pulling out a bag of diamonds, um,
the dollhouse getting crushed or being brought out as a weapon. I thought both women, again, they took a lot of risks. They had great psychology because, yes, there is... psychology to a coffin match.

Chapter 4: What insights does Tommy share about the rising female talent in NXT?
Even that first spot where... And that's what I love when wrestlers set the tone. When you are locked inside a steel cage and the object is to... Because psychology-wise, we have to be in a steel cage because... either outside interference or the heel keeps running away. Now you cannot run. And the best way to start is the heels, ding, ding, ding, ding, tries to get out.
Or you save getting bashed into the cage for when it means something. And stuff like that really, really resonates with me. And right away, the girls are going at it. And Tatum throws Blake into the coffin and she like lands on her feet and quickly tiptoes her way high steps out of that bad boy. And she jumps out and it's like, whoa, because she's scared.
People don't want to be in a coffin, right? Don Callis actually sleeps in a coffin. That's an entire other story because he's a weird human being. Legit. Both sides of that story. So you have the two women battling. I love using the base of the coffin as well. They were innovative. They took themselves to higher risks. And at the end of the day, Blake Monroe gets stuffed in the coffin.
Another great, brilliant part. She's done. Tatum's out of it. The casket closes. But that title, that title that the two women have been fighting for is... saves the casket from being closed. And listen, there's been different versions of stipulations of the casket. You used to have to close it. You used to have to be able to close it and lock it.
They would also sell it like there was no oxygen there. I believe then the casket match went to the buried alive match. There was also times where you'd set the casket on fire. Fire. There's just so many different levels. It's the beauty of pro wrestling. But those women really, really stepped up. And if I'm just going from the three...
Casket matches that I saw with Elijah, Mustafa Ali, Darby, Allen, and Gabe Kidd. And this one tonight with Tatum and Blake. Everybody did the...
best with what they had and everyone took that coffin match which really is just a gimmick match but really took it to the next level and sold so many great parts of it uh so kudos to the women tonight and i love the fact that the coffin match even with booker t going to vic joseph you haven't been in a coffin And Vic's like, no, why would I ever want to?
But also talking about that fear because, yes, people get the heebie-jeebies when you're talking about being in a coffin because, hey, it signifies death. It signifies the end. I do feel this is the end of the feud between these two, where they go. Who knows? But you have such, again, bandwidth with all the women. We have Zalruka going out there, cutting a great promo.
Does this also lead to JC Jane getting called up? And if not, is it the entire group with JC Jane and Fatal or Toxic? What the hell is their name? I'm sorry. Fatal Influence. Fatal Influence. I took a red-eye today, ladies and gentlemen, so forgive me. I literally went from, dude, red-eye...

Chapter 5: What is the significance of coffin matches in wrestling?
Yes.
Big fan of Mr. Hammerstone. So Andre was telling me, and again, he did a great job of a lot of your stuff. You recently just attended the Lodestone experience with Bailey. How was that for you?
It was incredible. It was... Probably the coolest experience I've had so far. Just being in a room full of such amazing talents and also just getting to hear all of their stories and how they trained and what their mind thinks, because I'm a big, like, I love learning and learning. Since I started, I put on a mission of I'm going to be the biggest sponge and just soak up anything I can.
And she actually had CM Punk there. She had Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Red Mysterio, Dan Housen, Maya Valkyrie. They were all in the room and they were able to answer our questions and help us out. So it was awesome.
I go to your fandom, you walk into a room and you have the ability to talk to CM Punk. How cool is that?
I'm still on cloud nine. That's like, I've never met him before. I've never spoken to him. And to be able to walk into that room and see him and to be able to shake his hand and let him know you're the reason that I got into this, it's surreal and I'm forever grateful.
Yeah, I love that stuff. I was able to tell my hero, the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, like, you're my hero. You're the reason why I got into this. And another one of our hosts, Bully Ray, just talked to Don Morocco, and he was like, you're the reason I got into wrestling. Or I did it with Leon Slater and Jeff Hardy. This is one of the...
the beauties of our business where, like, yes, first you attend a seminar, but the goal is that you could share a locker room and, you know, be on a card with said people, which is what I love about pro wrestling. For you in that experience, like we just had someone who else attended, Vicious Vicky, how did you feel you did and what are you hoping to get out of said experience?
Yeah.

Chapter 6: How did the latest coffin match unfold between Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe?
I need to see the wall in person. And it was cool because my trainer's signature is actually on that wall, too. So I got to find him on there, along with all the amazing names that have been in that arena. But it was surreal and amazing. And it's just crazy to me. Like all these experiences are crazy to me.
I think me from five years ago when I first thought about training officially, I wouldn't have dreamed of this, but I'm just taking it all in and I'm forever grateful for every experience.
That's awesome. And listen, I love hearing from people from the Indies because I'm on the Indies. I got two Indies this weekend. I started there. I will end there. And I love just hearing that and connecting. It's all of our dreams. And I want to see everybody make it. But we all go on that same path. And sometimes you just need people in your corners. But that's also in life.

All right, Vicki. Let's get right into it.
Yeah.
WrestleMania. This is your first WrestleMania experience, your first WrestleMania live, correct? Yes. So tell us how you felt about it.
Yeah. You know, it was... Going into it, I'm a weirdo, and I have this thing where I can perform to a crowd, but being in one freaks me out. So I was kind of like, how am I going to handle this? But I was very surprised at myself. I did great. I was able to be a fan and just enjoy it and not have to really worry about... Anything, right?
I'm just able to sit back and enjoy it and not need to worry about, you know, remembering things and just have a good time. It was, you know, the first night was a little, you know, question mark for me. I'm a huge Cody Rhodes fan. Definitely a Cody cry, baby. No questions asked.
