Welcome to the Busted Open Podcast. This is Dave LaGreca. On today's episode, myself and Nick Nemeth celebrate my birthday. And who better to talk to than one of the greatest of all times, Hall of Famer, Mr. WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels joins the celebration, and somebody who has beaten me to a pulp on several occasions, Thunder Rosa, right here on the Busted Open Podcast. this is the busted open podcast amazing hall of famer mr wrestlemania himself the one and only sean michaels sir how are you and thank you so much for joining the show this morning uh my pleasure um congratulations dave happy birthday
Um, now that that's out of the way, I've got a lot of grievances. I don't even know where to start. I rolled in. I still got to dip in for the love of God. Um, so, so Dave, the last thing I can do, uh, his cast dispersions on anybody for the love of God. So you've always been wonderful to us. You've always been wonderful to me, supporting us and helping us out down here in NXT. So as much as I'd love to rain on your wonderful day, I'm afraid I can't do it. You know, I think you're always pretty objective. And strangely enough, I am not perfect in all that I do and all that I say. So and nobody's more aware of that than I am. So I just want I did. I want to really thank you. And, you know, like we were down here for bash.
You're running around so much and everything else didn't have. A ton of time, but you really are, you know, I don't know. I really do. I'd love to really, I would love to be able to give you a hard time, but I quite frankly can't do it. So you've always been great with me.
First of all, I appreciate the kind words. Second is doing the Great American Bash a couple weekends ago. And I've been able to do a lot in my career, which I'm extremely thankful for. Being a part of that show is one of the career highlights for me. And I swear, like even now talking about it, I guess get goosebumps. Like you coming up and thanking me for being there, which is like, oh, my God, this is Shawn Michaels. One of the people that I fell in love with back when I saw you on Mid-South and World Class and AWA, those memories and those matches really solidified the foundation that made me a pro wrestling fan and then catapulted to what I do. The fact that you took the time out of your busy day just to come over and thank me for being there meant the world to me.
So thank you so much, sir, because it really truly does mean a lot to me.

You got it. Well, look, you've built some, I don't know, I admire what you've built there. You know what I mean? Honestly, I mean, you've done a heck of a job in that. And I don't know, I mean, it gives extra, so much extra exposure to what we do. And look, as I've expressed many times on this show, look, I'm at a point in my life where I'm just so thankful. that, you know, when I got into this stuff at 19, there was no future. There was no, I don't know, after your career or at least at that time when I broke in, everything I heard about was really nothing to be, I don't know. It didn't look that glamorous to be perfectly honest. And so, um, and I don't know, uh, you know, Adolf is still in it and stuff.
And so, I don't know, you get into it. For me, I just, I'm in a totally separate mindset now, I guess, in my career. I'll be 61 in a week or so. And you look at everything in the rear view mirror and hell, all you can do is be thankful and still to be a part of it. And now helping people to you know, I don't know, possibly have a career, you know, like mine, bigger than mine, all of that kind of stuff. I don't know. You just see everything differently now from this seat than you do when you're in it, doing it full time and caught up in it.
