Chapter 1: What were the highlights of Jacob Fatu's recent performance?
hey guys this is denise salcedo with the world's strongest man mark henry and welcome to the busted open podcast to kick off the show mark and i get into our reaction to smackdown last night this is the busted open podcast we have a couple of highlights to get into on the show uh a lot that went down with jacob fatu who recently defeated drew mcintyre in a big win and
confronted roman reigns on monday night raw and now he's out here uh in a main event with solo sakoa in which he did destroy solo sakoa and the mfts let's kick it off there mark how did you feel seeing jacob fatu close out the show the way he did because what i liked about it was that it gave main character energy
It did. And sometimes you need to be put in a spot where you learn what it's like to be in the main event. And he's going to look at that and go, you know what? I need to have more energy here. I need to do it. This is this is grooming. This is a learning experience. Getting ready.
Chapter 2: How did Jacob Fatu's promo impact his standing in WWE?
to be comfortable in that closing spot. Some people naturally can adapt to it and just get it in, but it has, this was the beginning of the learning experience.
So, OK, when you say that, like the beginning of the learning experience and considering, you know, you've seen how what it takes, the steps that it takes to become, you know, a Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes or any of that. What kind of mindset do you think that Jacob Fatu has to have right now?
And what do you think the the timeline needs to look like for him right now to start climbing or to continue rather climbing up that ladder?
It's the ownership of the brand. When you close the show, you got to leave people going next week. Oh my God. It is either going, he's going to go off or he, he, he should, he should run for his life. Or like you, you have to put an emphasis in a button and an exclamation point on what's going to happen.
Chapter 3: What mindset should Jacob Fatu adopt to succeed in WWE?
And that's, that's taught that's conditioned. And I thought he did a good job. I mean, they ended the show probably different than I would have. But the match was good. And everybody came out of it looking strong. So other than the whooping that he took. So it's good.
Were you surprised that he confronted Roman Reigns? Because I thought, damn, Fatu. At first, I didn't know if he was going to try to link up with him.
Chapter 4: How do Denise and Mark feel about Jacob Fatu confronting Roman Reigns?
But when he stood his ground against Roman, I thought, all right, now this is the guy who's all gas, no brakes.
Well, some people are not designed to. To ride coattails or go along for the ride. You got to look at Jacob history. Jacob and I both are very similar. Him on a grander scale when it comes to the trouble that he got into. which he served his time and did his debt to society. I was a violent kid that was tired of people messing with me, and I reacted. I acted out. And I got in trouble for it.
Chapter 5: What recent NXT call-ups have made an impact on RAW and Smackdown?
And I spent time in juvie. And that's not like... A thing that you're proud of, you know, that you but is you proud that you persevered, that you was able to, you know, grab life by the throat and choke it out. Jacob has not been the featured in the family.
In fact, Jacob is the black sheep and everybody has been telling him, hey man, just pump your brakes, lay low, sit in the cut, don't draw too much attention to yourself. Jacob was like, no, I'm winning. You know, I'm doing my thing. And he is. He has evolved.
And I'd be damned if I'm going to stand in the background and let somebody else reap all the benefits when I can look with my own eyes and see the private jets, the $10 million, the $20 million contracts.
Chapter 6: Who are the notable wrestlers debuting on Smackdown?
I want it all too. And the only thing that's stopping me from getting that is you telling me that that's not for me. Well, Jacob has something different in mind. And rather than be a member in the bloodline, he's like, listen, I am the bloodline. I got the same blood flowing through my veins as you do. And I want it all. I want it. So give it up or get it to.
I feel.
Put it on a shirt.
Chapter 7: What does the future hold for JC Jane and her faction?
What you said about Jacob being those guys that doesn't ride coattails. See, I love that shit. I really, really do, because it's one of those things where it's like, be a leader. Don't be a follower. And Jacob Fatu is not a follower. And I know you mentioned the bad stuff, right? The stuff that, hey, you're not proud of and you know, sharing those similarities.
And in Jacob fought to I spent time in jail and everything, right. But at the same time, that's what made him who he is now.
Chapter 8: How do Denise and Mark view the evolution of women's wrestling in WWE?
And I'm sure of course, he might have chosen a different path, who knows. But regardless, it's what made him and it's what we're seeing now. And I know his journey maybe wasn't ideal. But you know what, he's out there now and he's doing it. And I think that's the part that for me when I what I like about Jacob fought to is that I don't feel like he's playing pretend. This is who he is.
Hell no, you're not playing pretend. Right.
He doesn't feel, I don't feel like he's acting as a tough guy. I don't feel like he's acting as a wrestler. And there are times where you see the, oh, I'm acting. I want to be this tough guy wrestler. And I'm just there like, I'm not buying it, bro. But when it comes to Fatu, I buy that shit because that's who he is.
Denise. All you got to do is go on YouTube and look up Jacob Fatu beats up fan that jumps the barricade.
Oh, I've seen it.
That's all you got to do. Jump your ass over that barricade if you want to. I used to invite people. Bring your ass over here. Don't don't security. Don't touch him.
let him come if he want to come let him come everybody in here gonna be grossed out at the that i'm gonna do to you and jacob is the same i see the same traits he is he is no punk at all i want to make that into a shirt no punk at all man that dude is for real And on top of that, he said something that almost made me cry.
He said, man, I had to look at myself in the mirror after seeing all my kids sleep in the same bed because we could only afford two rooms.
Yeah.
