I have to wash the car again. Do you need help? No, not really. But look, it's Tuesday and it's supposed to rain again. And you still have sand. If I wash it now, I'll have to clean it up again soon. And if I just wait, it'll be autumn soon.

And in the dark, no one even notices the difference. Get out of the way! Easier said than done. Motonet. Motonet. Klaas Olsson's customer service. Important information for all summer fixers. If you're in a hurry, so you can... Come to us first. From us you'll find everything to organize, clean and customize. Welcome to Klaas Olsson. Welcome to the Busted Open After Dark Podcast. I'm your host, Tommy Dreamer. The vibes were a little bit different in Detroit, and I'm going to talk about it right now. Coming up next, Monday Night Raw from Detroit, Michigan, setting up everything for SummerSlam. A little different scenarios, and I've got to talk about it right now. This is the Busted Open Podcast. I really got to talk to the nation.
Tommy Dreamer 1:20
Let me talk to you. Tonight's show was different. And by different, it was not bad. I thought we'd get more, as I talked with Rick today on Off the Ropes, I thought we would get more stuff happening to get us to SummerSlam, which is now two weeks away. This is not the go-home episode. Didn't feel like a go-home episode. It's weird because a lot of stuff that happened this whole entire weekend then gets us... you know, two weeks for a major show to get to another major show. This was a safe show. This was also, and I don't mean this as a disrespect to anybody, it was a little weird and it was a little, I don't know, didn't have main character feel, but it also shows the depth of the roster and Today, Rick and I were talking about how deep of the babyface roster WWE has.
Tommy Dreamer 2:35
I will start with, you know, when I'm talking superstars, because that's what WWE has made. And you look at SummerSlam, three matches on this card are technically babyface, babyface. Maybe even four. Yes, 100% four with Chad, Gable, and Penta. I'm talking main event pitcher Oba Brock, Cody Punk, and Seth Roman. Everybody has a different angle, different spin. And then tonight, this show is dominated by... And I like this. I like when you're elevating your people. Old school, we'd have to see if ratings came in. With this Netflix on Raw, we won't have ratings. You have numbers. Don't know most viewed, all that stuff. That's not what I'm ever here to talk about. Um... What I'm talking about, let's say the use of just all the people.
Tommy Dreamer 3:36
Yes, everybody was represented on the top of the card. I wanted the... And if I look at this, it's two nights. We had only one match get added throughout.

How did Tommy Dreamer describe the different vibe of RAW in Detroit?

Tommy Dreamer 3:53
And I thought I'd have more. And by more, it's... to set people up for SummerSlam. Like I said, I enjoyed Raw. It just had a different feel, a different vibe. We, of course, opening with the Usos. Well, not the Usos. We opened up with Jacob Fatu. and Jimmy Uso walking to the venue. We have our normal arrival shots and our list of matches that go down. Weirdly, tonight, there was no women's matches on Monday Night Raw. I don't know when the last time that has occurred, though Liv Morgan and Io had a nice... back and forth, which I really never knew how much I liked Io and Dan Housen, but I will get into that. And I knew going out of Saturday night's main event, there wasn't going to be a lot of, I felt it's a tale of two shows that people wrestling on Saturday night's main event, though they wouldn't have much representation on SummerSlam outside of, you know, the,
Tommy Dreamer 5:09
I would say the semi-main event, which was the actual main event, Cody and Punk, Gunther and Sami Zayn. But then the interesting part kind of starts to take place where I didn't... The elevation of the next people. By that, we'll have, you know... Dan Housen was represented a lot. Dan Housen was given a match at SummerSlam because of all the back and forth situation that happened tonight with Joe Hendry and Dominic Mysterio and Dan Housen helping Joe Hendry win. He also got Io Sky involved. And then so we have a Dan House and Dominic Mysterio match.
