Hey guys, this is Denise Salcedo with the world's strongest man, Mark Henry, and welcome to the Busted Open podcast. To kick off the show, Mark and I discuss Sami Zayn leaving Cody Rhodes in the ring to get attacked by Gunther. This is the Busted Open podcast.
so i actually want to kick things off with what closed out the show cody rhodes defeating sammy zane and then afterwards getting attacked by gunther as they headed to clash in italy which is happening on may 31st mark the first thing that i want to say first of all i loved cody rhodes and sammy zane and why what i liked about it there was a few things with the body of the match i
I like that it was slow and methodical. And usually I don't like slow and methodical.

Slow and methodical pisses me off. I like fast pace and hard hitting. That's usually my style.

Chapter 3: Why did Mark Henry appreciate the slow pacing of the match?
You started laughing and then I went.
You're gaslighting me. Wow. Wow. I'm getting gaslighted five minutes into the show on a Saturday morning.

Well, you know, like I said, slow and methodical this time around with Cody and Sami Zayn, you know, taking their time, telling a story. I like that. But so I like that portion of it. But the big thing that I wanted to get your thoughts on was when Gunther attacked Cody and he had him out there, you know, choking him and he's on the ground and all of that.
Sami had the opportunity to do a nice thing. He could have gone in there. He could have helped Cody considering they just went through this match together. And he stood there. He thought about it for a while.
and that man left he walked out and you know what i was doing mark i was applauding i was applauding and i said yes good finally because sammy has been uh the people have been booing sammy but if you listen to what he says and his promos they're still baby face promos they're still baby face actions last night Not a baby face action.
So now I feel like, OK, we are no longer only dipping the toe into the pool. This man has his whole body in there. Now he just needs to stick his head in. But that man is a heel.
I am about to argue with you.

Chapter 5: How did Sami Zayn's decision to abandon Cody affect the storyline?
Well, everybody's got a different type of humor. Mark, as a comedian, you know this.
Yeah. I mean, I like I like blue, but I can get down with, you know, the dad jokes. You know, like it's nothing misses me. If it's if it's humorous, I'm with it.
Yeah. No, you know what I hate? When you accidentally put a dad joke and everybody just looks at you and goes, womp, womp, womp. And you're like, damn, man, what did I become? Yeah. No one ever applauds dad jokes, by the way. If you make a dad joke, you're frowned upon.
Every now and then I'll be flipping through social media and they'll have these dad jokes and you got to put water in your mouth and forced not to laugh. And I find that to be so damn amusing. It's one of the funniest things on the internet.
Amazing. Well, now we know what's on your timeline.
Yeah, you got to be somewhere where If you spit something out, it's not going to work. You can't do that in the house.
Yeah.
You got to do that out on the patio. You got to do that at a park or something like that. The last thing you want to do is be in your own living room and having random strangers spitting every damn word.
Oh, definitely not in my house. Not in my house. Not today. No way. Okay, so as we were saying, Gunther, Cody Rhodes, Clash in Italy. Hey, Mark, I forgot to tell you. Guess what? What? Chicken butt. Just kidding. No. I actually really do got something to say. I'm going to be at Clash in Italy.

And then he got sad again. So now what I'm seeing here is that he, I don't know, this storyline's a disaster. I can't even break it down for you because I can sit here and be like, oh, well, in that case, he's only happy when things are working out for him. But things don't work out for people that aren't like, you know, like he's like not putting in the work.
When things work out for you and it don't work out all the time, that's not happiness.
right exactly so anyways i just feel like the johnny gargano storyline's a mess it is i think it's a mess too i just wish that we could do something with it to make it entertaining what you said would have been kind of funny if this whole time he was just fooling everybody i mean i still i mean after like a while though it would get a little bit like okay well where are we going with this but we're not going anywhere i have so many ideas but
it would overflow the timeline. Maybe. I think WWE would be like, shut up, Mark. Damn it. We were going to do that. Now we can't do it. You said something.
You know what would be stupid funny? You know how Dan Housen is like bringing back, trying to bring back someone to life or whatever. He's doing like the Frankenstein thing. Okay, what if he accidentally messed up? He opens in Johnny Gargano's lane there. And he's been doing all these experiments. Okay. That's like stupid funny.
That would be funny if he was doing experiments on Johnny.
Yeah. Well, they're not going to do that. I don't know what they're doing. Let's take a break. Let's take a break. And when we return, we'll go ahead.

Honestly, I mean, well, anything at this point is better than he just laying there for how long has this been going on for? It's been a while, man.
