There was a theory after people started realizing how odd it was that everyone had a personal story about this necklace. There was a theory that began floating around that maybe it was the necklace that was rigged. And I would like to say categorically that I do not subscribe to that theory. I do not believe that was the case. I actually strongly discount that theory for two very simple reasons. One, that would leave things to chance. There was a chance that Charlie didn't put on his St. Michael necklace that morning. There was also a chance that while traveling in a highly pressurized cabin on a plane that morning to Salt Lake City, that something could have gone horribly wrong.
Simply put, with that much planning that needed to be involved to rig something, they would not have introduced a variable that was completely out of their control.
