Chapter 1: What is the concept of overrated vs underrated in hockey trades?
back in on Canuck Central. It's Sat and Bic coming to you live from the Kintec studio. Text your thoughts into our Dunbar Lumber text inbox, 650-650. Overrated, underrated. It's coming up next. Get those last minute submissions in. We'll do some overflow in the final segment of the show. So if we don't get to yours right away, Rest assured, we'll most likely get to it before the show is out.
And this hour of Canuck Central is brought to you by your lower mainland Boston pizza. The playoffs are here and BP is ready. So skip the couch, catch every hit, every goal, every save, every playoff beard. This is how you watch playoff hockey as we come to you live from the Kintec studio. Sat and Vic producer is Josh Alina. And let's get to Overrated Underrated. All right.
What did people have for us this week? We'll start with this one from Jim Leahy. All the momentum around trading Philip Heronic.
Overrated or underrated? Momentum? Overrated. Because I think it's just a figment of our imagination and our discussions and speculation about making Philip Heronic available. So I don't think there is the momentum. It's overrated. I think there is... Is it user-generated momentum? Yes. Yes. I would say so. I'd say right now... There's some inertia where it's not moving. You know what I mean?
Would you call it fomentum? Fomentum, yeah. This is one that's hard to get a read on. When we asked Ryan Johnson specifically about not having any sacred cows and not having any untouchable players, and even we name-checked Hironik as part of that, he said, we don't have anybody that...
is off limits in terms of the veterans but he also left the door open and talked about how if guys want to be here we want to keep some players and whatnot so i don't think there's been any indication one way or another and even asking around it's so early in their tenure they're so focused on the coaching staff figuring out the rest of their front office that those considerations haven't been delved into too much so i'd say the momentum is overrated it doesn't exist at the moment
I would just hope it's something they truly do consider and maybe talk to Filip Hronik about because the biggest hurdle for me, Bic, on this might be Hronik himself.
That he wants to stay? Yeah. Yeah, I do think if you, if like the right team, because the thing I'll give a Philip Pornic a lot of credit for, fiercely competitive guy. So if the right team comes calling, it's like, oh man, I don't know if I could say no to that opportunity. Let's just say, because San Jose is the one everyone texts in about.
Not that we're aware of this overwhelming San Jose interest.

Chapter 2: How is Philip Hronek's trade value perceived?
But there's no way. I'll say no.
There's so much work to be done there. Calgary.
No. Seattle. I'll say no.
No, I don't think so. Winnipeg.
No.
Nashville.
Probably not close to winning. But the city is great. Do you like the city?
I don't think so. Probably no. So those are all the non-playoff teams in the West except for San Jose, which we would say yes. LA. Probably yes.
Utah. Hmm. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, maybe from a competitive standpoint, but destination-wise.
