Chapter 2: How will Ryan Johnson's promotion impact the team's rebuild?
At least not yet to answer. My eyes are peeled on social media. The conclave apparently still huddling, still trying to figure out exactly when the announcement is going to be.
Yeah. I mean, are they still huddling? I don't know if they're still huddling as a conclave. I think they're just waiting to they're doing something in there.
Maybe they're just really maybe they're looking for the matches. To get the smoke going.
Negotiating or whatever. I mean, you know, probably. Something's going on. Dotting I's, crossing T's. But, you know, with the confidence of Elliott Friedman's reporting on 32 Thoughts today, Dolly Wall having contractual details on Rian Johnson's deal. I mean, this really seems like it's.
Chapter 3: What are the potential risks of rushing player development?
We know. Just a buttoning up. We know what it's going to look like broadly. Broadly. We're just waiting for the official announcement. And I'm a little surprised that we're coming on air again without that official announcement. My gut would be.
My gut would be that there's going to be like a few small details in the release. You know what I mean? That everyone wants to be thoughtful of. Sure.
Like, and I mean, whether it's terminations, whether it's additional hires, internal promotions, there might just be a whole whack, an omnibus level of moving parts that they just wanted completely buttoned up to try and address some of our questions. Yeah. And I would like those questions addressed.
And I get it.
Chapter 4: What defines a 'world-class' organization in hockey?
Look, button it up. That's fine. I'm hungry. I'm hungry for information. I'm hoping we get some here this afternoon.
This market has been incredibly hungry for information, I'd say, the last three weeks. Like, you know, this search, especially after, I think, the Dorian thing, I think, really marked a departure in this process. I think before that, it felt pretty buttoned up, pretty normal. And I think since then, it's felt like a M. Night Shyamalan last 10 minutes. You know?
Like, it really has been an I see dead people... you know the village is actually happening in contemporary times sort of ending to this search and you know the aliens are killed by water yeah it's water the Evan Gold thing obviously the Dorian thing the twins late arrival as sort of where the Canucks are landing.
And, you know, there's going to be a lot of big swings to try and figure out what happened, what exactly happened, and what's, like, let me tell you the biggest question that I have that no one's talking about. There's a lot of conversation about who Rian Johnson's reporting to.
Chapter 5: How do the Sedins influence the Canucks' hockey operations?
Yes. Who are the Twins reporting to? Ownership, no? No. Well, over the course... I guess we'll find it. We'll get a chance to find out soon here. Over the course of the search, though, right? I mean, we've heard about all sorts of different parties that we wouldn't expect having been part of it. Who are the twins reporting to? That, to me, is a huge question here.
All right. It is Wednesday. We'll chat with Jason Buch a little later. But right now, it's time for the crossover. With Don Taylor and Rick Dolly, while they're the co-hosts of Donnie and Dolly on Check TV.
Chapter 6: What is the significance of the upcoming NHL draft for the Canucks?

What?
Did I say that? You both have the Toronto hats on. Oh, yeah. Do you realize what city you're in?
Rick wears his Blue Jays shirt all the time.
Get out of here with that.

Chapter 7: How can the Canucks address their roster issues effectively?
Once in a while. I had my Supersonics hat on yesterday. Everyone sees me wear a Grizzlies hat all the time.
Also, this is my somber black Blue Jays hat. We're not very good. Yeah, for when they're under 500. If they get back to 500, I'll break out the colorful one again. It's your morning cap. Yeah, this is when my understated, you know, things aren't going very well, Jay's cap. I promise you I'd love to be a— They're only 10 and a half games out.
Can I say this, too? Can I say this, too, Thomas? The other day, I got through half of the village, and thank you for ruining the ending for me.
Spoiler alert, movie came out in 2006. Gentlemen, also, I just wanted to note.
Chapter 8: What strategies can the Canucks employ to build a competitive team?
I called that, actually. I saw the movie.
I saw it when it came out. I called it halfway through.
Well, when you know, it's M. Night Shyamalan. You know there's going to be a twist. You know. Okay, well, what's the twist going to be? That's true.
You figure it out. The only other thing I'd say is I'd love to be a Grizzlies partisan, I promise you. Like, I'd love for that to still be a thing in Vancouver.
Oh, no kidding. It was fantastic. I loved it. Me too.
I'm hopeful maybe in five years I'll have a tough decision to make on an MLB team. I would love that. That would be awesome. We'll see. Will you support the Blue Jays or the Orcas? Mounties, come on. We were talking about the baseball team whenever that came out, and Drance was like, what if they called them the Lions?
And I was like, you know there's a team called the Lions already in town, right? I don't know if that one's going to fly there.
And then I suggested Orcas. I'm very original. Gentlemen, let's talk Canucks GM search. Rick, you had some fascinating details. The one that concerns me the most, to be totally honest, was the term Canucks. Of Ryan Johnson's deal. Will you tell our audience and tell us exactly what you know?
Not really. Adam Foote, it's really, you know, Adam Foote got three years. Sources tell me that, you know, Ryan Johnson got three years. I think that's standard, though. Somebody starting out getting three years. I wouldn't expect. Dubas got seven. Were you expecting two?
