So the twins are introducing Manny Malhotra. Yeah. And Rian Johnson will be available to answer media questions on Zoom later. I don't think is a problem. Yeah, okay. That's the good thing about a three-headed dragon. You've got a lot of people to handle these things.

Again, we're a long way from that because... Talking today right now, I would absolutely bet that Manny Malhotra will be the next head coach. I would bet, you know, we're doing the show like Tuesday next week and we're talking about it, something like that. That would not surprise me in the least. That is the most likely outcome.
If it doesn't happen, I'm going to have some serious questions about the foresight and the ability to read the lay of the land here.
Yeah, for sure. Let's hope we don't have to deal with them and we just get to go about the business of covering, you know, the Manny Malhotra era and a sort of Abbotsford succession plan plus that the Canucks have initiated. And then we can turn our focus to what's this team going to do, right?

Chapter 5: What are the arguments for staying put in the draft?

All right. So I'm, I'm up here and I'm doing a bit of a different spin on this one, right? Rather than the, you know, the trade downs and move around the boards. It's a pretty simple question. And it's, let's say the draft goes chalk one and two, which I think this still qualifies as chalk McKenna one Stenberg two for sure. That qualifies as chalk.
And when the Canucks are sitting there at number three and we've done a lot of, well, if you really like Malhotra trade down, or if you're kind of neutral on the D trade down, maybe you like really like Vigo Bjork trade down and get that extra S extra asset and take that player, you know, six or seven or whatever. It's also realistically, it's really hard to trade down. Absolutely.
It's really hard. So with that in mind, if the Canucks are sitting there at three McKenna and Stenberg are off the board. Should they just forget about our maneuvering? We're trying to get that extra asset. Should they just go up and draft Viggo Bjork? Is that like, would it be unreasonable for them to just say, you know what? Screw it. We like this guy. He's awesome.
Let's just go take who we think is the best player and it's Viggo Bjork.
No, I think that would be a very, very cool decision. I think there's a strong case for it. I need to dwell on it a little bit more. I think Vigo Bjork or Carson Carl's for me are the, let's just put this down the fairway 250 yards, right? Both of these guys have elite unicorn level ceiling. Both of them are very safe bets to be impact NHL players on an accelerated timeline.
And the rebuild needs that. I think there's, arguments to be made in favor of Verhoff and I do think Caleb Mahotra where you're swinging for the ceiling with bigger bodies in particular in both cases and with Verhoff also for the right handed premium right I think Verhoff has the most upside Of anyone in this class who's not McKenna. Okay. Including Stenberg.

Chapter 6: How does player size impact NHL success?
That's bullish because you have to be so good to get those sorts of opportunities. Like if you look at the centers that have played at 17 in the SHL, they're all monsters. Like it's Marco Casper. It's Joel Erickson. It's Leo Carlson. It's like physical monsters, like beast monsters, six foot three, six foot two, huge people, six foot two guys.
Like it's really rare for a player Bjork size to get this sort of opportunity. And not only did he get this opportunity, but by the end of the year, he's playing 20 minutes a night. He's point per game in the playoffs. So, you know, I just, we've been talking about this guy as like an interesting value bet. And the more I look at it, the more I think on an age adjusted basis, his profile's more
prodigy more prodigal than that like it's more like this kid's a legit freak he's got the superhuman pops off the ice when you really examine the fossil record when you really look at like oh he's the best 16 year old scorer ever in the j20 and no one else is within 24 points of him like he's got the stuff that really pops i i I don't think there's a ceiling you can put on a profile like this.
He's the best Swedish center prospect this century.
Now, on the size question, and I think your point about looking at it as an obstacle also that he has overcome to earn these opportunities is a good one. Tanbeer texts in, name me a 5'9 center in the NHL making a significant impact today. Now, I know your war against listed height. How would you say Braden Point's 5'11 listed height? I actually think he's listed 5'10".
On DB, he's listed at 5'11".
Maybe it's been adjusted down. It's been adjusted down because it's not true. So Brain Point would be the name that stands out to me. And Sebastian Ajo. Sebastian Ajo's listed at 6', but is not. Yeah. And Nick Suzuki is listed at 5'11", and is not. Yeah. Um...
So yeah, I mean, but the other, I'll give you three. The other point, the other point I would make though is, and I think back, this might be a sore spot for Canucks fans, but I think back to the Quinn Hughes draft, like you could have made an argument like, oh, you know, undersized left shot defenseman. Is he really worth the pick at that, at that point?
I don't think people view defenseman in the same way anymore in part because the game has changed, right? So don't get stuck with, behind the curve because of these profiles right like be willing to swing on the guy who
