Chapter 1: What are the current challenges in the Vancouver Canucks GM search?
. . .
What's up? Welcome to Canucks Talk here on Sportsnet 650. I'm Jamie Dodd. My co-host is Thomas Drance. He covers the Canucks at The Athletic as well. We're broadcasting live from the Kintec studio. Step strong with orthotics and footwear from Kintec.
Chapter 2: Who are the potential candidates being considered for the GM position?
650-650 is the Dunbar-Lumber text line. This hour of the show is presented... By Waffle House Diner. Enjoy chicken and waffles. The Waffle House Special Classic Full Breakfast and more. Dine in or order on your favorite delivery app. Breakfast done right. And we always have a big show on Wednesday. A show that I really look forward to, Drancer, right? With the crossover in a few minutes here.
Jason Bukala at one. But it's an extra big show today, Drancer, because... As we learned yesterday, there is a third list. And now I'm on high alert. I'm on red alert or DEFCON whatever.
Chapter 3: How does internal tension impact the GM hiring process?
DEFCON 3.
You're on DEFCON 3, the third list. There's also a third rail. I've heard of a third rail.
Third wheel.
I've heard of a third rike. Came up a lot yesterday.
Unexpectedly.
A third list.
There's a third list. I repeat, there's a third list.
Yeah. And like, you know, sometimes there's two lists. I've heard of that in hockey. One example is sometimes when you're filling out a coaching staff.

Chapter 4: What is the significance of having multiple candidate lists?
Right.
Veteran general managers used to have this rule where it's like, I get to pick one and you get to pick one with their head coach. Right. So the GM kind of has some say. If you think the head coach is a little bit inexperienced or something, you bring on a more experienced guy. Or if you think there's someone really promising, I get one, you get one.
seen that before but three lists yeah and uh just for our listeners who maybe haven't i don't even have three lists of groceries like if you and your i've never made three lists at any time yeah like you know sometimes it's like you after you make your list you'll ask your wife yes and what else what is there anything else you need even then it's not two lists it's combining your ideas into one list right but in your head there's a list and in her head there's a list sure but then they get combined
Well, I mean, I assume that these three lists are going to get combined.
I'm not assuming that. I think that's a wild assumption, frankly.
I like to think that on the third list, it's just like a list of Toy Story characters. You know, like Woody. Buzz Lightyear.
By the way, for our listeners that aren't maybe... Mr. Potato Head. And we'll talk about this more in the crossover.

Chapter 5: How does Ryan Johnson fit into the Canucks' GM search?
Little Bo Peep. Slinky Dog.
Andy's mom.
My favorite character is Andy's mom. On radio in Alberta, in Edmonton, I believe it was Oilers Now with Bob Stauffer, was he's hearing that Jim Rutherford has a list of candidates to be the Canucks next general manager. Ownership has a list of candidates to be the next general manager.
And then there might be a third list, an unexplained mystery third list floating around the organization as well. Do you remember those Seinfeld episodes where it was like, You know, it was like, oh, she's got man hands. And then they just, like, say man hands back and forth to each other a lot. Sure. That's how I feel about the third list. There's a third list, Stranzer. Third list?
A third list.

Chapter 6: What insights does Jason Bukala provide about the U18 tournament?
That's what I feel. A third list. Today's episode is going to be is basically that version, except with a third list in play here.
I mean, maybe the third list is different ways to cook eggs.
Yeah.
You know, sunny side up.
Sunny side up. Over easy. Poached. Scrambled, poached. Over medium. Hard-boiled, soft-boiled. Quiche. Okay, no. You can't go, hey, at a diner, how do you want your eggs?

Chapter 7: Which draft targets are emerging from the U18 tournament?
Quiche. No, we're not going to do that.
Omelet.
Sure.
Stirred.
I don't know what that means. Is that just scrambled?
Hard-boiled.
Yeah, I said that already.
Medium-boiled. No.
Yes, it does. No. Medium soft boiled? No, come on.

Chapter 8: What are the implications of the Canucks' decision-making process for the future?
We're not doing that many gradations of boiled.
Baked?
Sure.
Gently fried?
Baked. What's a baked egg?
You can bake an egg. I've never done it, but I'm sure you can.
This is why we don't have access to the third list, so we don't know.
Baked eggs. Yes. They're called sherd. Sherd eggs. Yes.
Okay, yeah, that looks pretty good, actually. Yeah, you know what?
