Does that mean that Darren Sammy should be removed because we've lost 5-0? For me, no. If anything, for me, what it sets or what it does is it just... It realigns expectations.
And for me to explain that, let me go back, OK? I've said it before, but it warrants me repeating again. In the run-up to the World Cup in 2024, we reached number three in the world. When we played them in the World Cup, when they had their full strengths teams, we lost to both of them. Cool. We then come out of the World Cup. Bear in mind, Darren Sammy's head coach for all of this, because a lot of people are trying to give the credit just to Rothman Powell. Darren Sammy was head coach for all of this, right? We come out of the World Cup, we beat another weakened South Africa side, 3-0, still hunky-dory.
Then the wheels start to fall off. We lose 3-1 to England at home, we lose 3-0 to Bangladesh at home. You can hear that bike in the background, man. We lose 3-0 to Bangladesh at home, we've lost 3-0 to England this year, and we've just lost 5-0 to Australia. Do you know what I call this?
