With the peak of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season upon us and storm threats like Fiona and Ian taking headlines, we're bringing you a special on hurricane season from the National Weather Service. In this special conversation, meteorologists from the National Weather Service offices across South Carolina bring you ways to prepare your home, your family, and your community for potential tropical threats. They discuss what makes threats, including flooding storm surge, wind, and tornadoes, so risky with a tropical storm or hurricane. This conversation was taped in May ahead of the start of the season. The Carolina Weather Group feels it's important to bring you this conversation now as a reminder of things that you can still do ahead of any storm to prepare. We thank the National Weather Service office in Columbia for hosting this conversation and allowing us to share it with you.
