Mark Gillies is the title sponsor at the Inaugural Chattanooga Motorcar Festival taking place October 11 – 12 at the Westin Hotel and Chattanooga's West Village. He is a lifelong automotive enthusiast whose career as a journalist included editing Supercar Classics and CAR magazines in the UK before arriving in the States in 1995. He became Executive Editor of Automobile and Car and Driver magazines. Eight years ago he moved into PR at Volkswagen and he is currently head of product communications for the North American region. Mark has owned a number of interesting vehicles and has raced a number of great old cars for collectors over the years. He and his son own and drive a 1992 Golf GTI race car.
