Cedric Maxwell Boston Celtics Podcast
Even Cedric Maxwell is Impressed by Celtics Start + Max Runs into Jayson Tatum at the CLUB
05 Nov 2019
Jayson Tatum is off to a impressive start... His second-half play alongside Kemba Walker has led the Celtics to a quick four-game winning streak, and with matchups against the Cavaliers and the Hornets approaching, it doesn’t look like they’ll be slowing down anytime soon. Tatum is averaging 22 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor but will he be able to sustain this all year round? Is this going to be the season we see Tatum reach superstar status? Coming off of an impressive week that started with Paul Pierce cheering on Tatum and the Celtics in their 19-point comeback win against the Bucks – which was followed by Tatum’s first NBA game-winning shot against the Knicks – things are looking good for the third-year pro. Cedric Maxwell and Josue Pavon analyze Tatum’s play, discuss if the Celtics’ five-game stretch is enough of a sample size to change their expectations on the 2019-20 campaign and discuss which other Celtics players have stood out the most to them.
