The podcast begins with Lauren Barnes' presentation on, "The Significance of the Trends Shown in The Austrian Party System During the 1990s", which explores party politics in Austria using the Manifesto Project as a means of comparison. Next Austin Hudgens presents his research on, "The Quite Rise of the Far-Left", which analyzed the electoral success of far left parties across Europe, such as Syriza, Unidos Podemos, and Die Linke, at the expense of Social Democratic parties. Lastly, Austin Prather presents on his research, "Can the EU Survive Populism?", in order to examine the effects Populism has had on the EU, and Europe's future relationship with populism.
